I think the OP could do with spelling out what is in the OF. The video suggests the J-League is in it. Or is this something the OP plans to add later?

The whole Bundesliga section (at least) is stolen from PES Universe, which isn't a free option file.

Reported this post.

Well, this post seemed quite suspicious. Almost no description never looks good when you're talking about something that takes so much time to make, such as an option file. Not to mention the fact that the title of this post mentions that the option file is "full HD"

But yeah, if the Bundesliga is stolen the rest might as well be. I've never bothered checking the video before but now I did and he didn't even bothered changing the file names, you can see the Bundesliga teams say "pesuni" lol (that's a really lazy thief right there)

There is no Serie B' kits....so i think that PESvisioBR is the best up to now option file....

Check pesteam.it, they might have kits for Serie B as well ;)

Yeah, but as you can also see in the post for nicoultras' OF, which also includes PESUniverse and some of my files without permission, those people feel totally fine with stealing and even this forum's mods support that, "for the community", of course.

It just made me realize that editors are doing work for people who don't even have an inch of gratefulness in them and generally don't care much about basic decency. I also just asked Nico to remove my kits and replace them, but even that small request was ignored. Instead it's cool nowadays to bash creators and say stuff like "do you even have the rights to club badges and sponsors for your kits, you're stealing from the clubs in the first place", it's really amazing. (I also contributed to a major free OF btw, not just PESUniverse, so it's not that I'm trying to make money, I don't earn a single cent with editing anyway.)

I know that the spirit of the community is sharing (besides being toxic towards the people that improve your game apparently), but I should have the right to say that I don't want to see my files appear in a OF that is a wild bunch of collected stuff from everywhere around the net.

But they can be happy now. Next year I won't bother any of those "legends" because I won't publish or contribute anything to the big OFs or the community in general anymore.

Have a nice season, philips_99, you always seemed like a cool guy =)

I didn't have many of those problems yet, but maybe because I don't usually do kits for big teams. I guess I'm in a "different league" of editing which few care about.

About nicoultras OF, I didn't know about it (I've not been following his thread), but I checked it now, and I must side with you Caveras (sorry people). I kinda understand when he says that if someone shares kits it's for other people to use, and I also understand that we should work together to have the best game as possible, that's the spirit of the community (he at least gave credit, but that doesn't make it right I guess), and even though I don't like it much when editors prefer not to allow others to use their work (it's a bit against the spirit of the community, but I understand and respect), if it's your work you should be able to decide what you do with it and who can and who can't use it, and we have to respect that. Also, fan made content is completely different from official licensed content, the argument of "ah, you also don't have permission to do those kits, you stole the logos and stuff from the team first so why can't we use them, that's not stealing" it's not a valid point in my opinion.

Btw, I don't know what this video is still doing here. It's one of those wild collections and they don't even give credit.

I wouldn't also like if I saw my work appearing in a "wild bunch of collected stuff" without credit or permission. Let me share a story with you: One time, someone uploaded some of my PES 2017 kits in a website called pes-patch, with ad-links. The website was making money out of my kits and without my knowledge. When I found out I commented on that page complaining about it (basically, if I wasn't making money out of my own work, why should they?) and made them at least add a direct-link to the kits if they want to keep them in there. They did, but a while later they basically changed my comment on that page to just "Thanks, keep up the good work". Like if I was happy about my kits being in there. I didn't notice at first, only a few months later, because they must've waited for a few days before doing that change on the comment (when I checked if they added the direct link my comment was still normal). Honestly, when I found out, it felt like it was too late already to complain about it so I just forgot and let it go.

The point is, I wouldn't stop doing what I like just because of some people. As you know, I kept sharing and doing kits/teams (and improved my skills since then I think ). My advice to you is, if you enjoy doing those kits, don't quit. Just stop doing it for other OFs (specially paid ones), do it for yourself and for your game and then, if you want, publish everything by yourself. That's what I do, I create the kits/teams I want to see on my game and then I share because I know there might be other people around who'd enjoy them too. I know it feels good to get recognition for something you created and shared with others for free, and that only makes it harder to deal with this kind of problems, and several editors/content creators end giving up because of it. If the signature on your kits isn't enough and some people can't read the rules on forum threads/websites (or are too lazy to do it), put some info on a corner of the png file like "Kit made by Caveras, don't use on any OF without written permission!!!". But don't surrender to those people. Don't let the toxic people affect you and the things you like, it's a game and it's meant to be fun and enjoyable. Just be on your own league and enjoy what you do :)

And thanks, you seem like a cool guy too

Thanks for the one reasonable opinion I've read here so far! =)

The thing is that two major OF sites asked me to use my kits and I gave them permission. They all have rules on their website and don't allow reuploading stuff to other sites or posting it here or on pes-patch.com, a site which is blacklisted on many official PES fan grounds. The stuff is all there for people to get, I don't see a reason why one feels the need to upload it again on their own, without asking - well I see one reason, and that's online fame. The stuff is there for everyone to get, and nobody has to pay. PESUniverse also offers their stuff for free. There's nothing in it "for the community" if you post that stuff somewhere else on your own. It just makes it more likely that your stuff will end up on sites like pes-patch.com where others will be making money off of it. And of course I also posted my kits publicly here for everyone to use in their own game, I just didn't want others to create their own OFs out of it and I don't see a problem with that.

Last week I found out that the website PESTeam.it also used my kits, but they even went so far as to remove my credit entirely from the image files themselves. (So you see, that also doesn't really help. You probably have to do it like Homer and others who fill the whole image with their watermark.)

I wrote them and their admin was super understanding, took the time to ask everyone in their team who was responsible for it, they removed the files and posted a public apology, also stating that this sort of stuff goes entirely against their etiquette. And we had a good chat about it and all is fine now. But if you take my stuff, don't ask, and tell me "well i think i'm right because i work so hard on collecting that stuff", then i wanna punch you. And I'm a very peaceful guy xD

I will of course keep creating kits on my own, my Bundesliga is something I spend a lot of time on. But I don't see a point in making it available to others anymore. Half of the feedback you get as a kitmaker is either "great but the socks are red" or "nice can you do Astana home kit for me now?" And I don't care any longer. Nowadays everyone can download GIMP for free and create their own stuff or use online tools. And if you're too lazy for that and still feel the need to sh*t on my opinion in some forum, then have fun waiting a little bit longer for the other guys to finish their Bundesliga kits next year.

Imagine if PESUniverse didn't release an OF for one year - all those praised collections you see on Italian and Brazilian forums and on this one of course would be half empty and people would be raging.

And the final straw is if you report posts like this in a PES GAMING forum and there is no reaction, instead a moderator has the nerve to call you out on you "not having licenses to create kits in the first place" - on a thread where people are posting your stolen stuff. If even the mods of a community are shitting on those who create for the community, then fuck the community, honestly.
