So, basically, given the current circunstances, what we can do is change the camera angle to see the crowd?

Its all a bit strange.

Isn't Konami capable of releasing a patch that puts the crowd back into the game and we can just add it to our option file?

Maybe I'm missing something.

I can't believe this thread has had so many responses.

I'll have my say - I think all the supporter's look as though they have been made out of cardboard, soooooo unrealistic!!

But I really don't give a damn because it's such a great game.

I guess quality comes at a price... ask Mr Abrahamovic!!!

nah what you all chattin we should be finding the faults thats stop sayin how good of a game it is cos we all know that this and all the rest of the pro evo's have been amazing it's time we said look we know its gettin better and better so we should be complaining about the little bits so if they check these sights for finding out what people think then we should be telling them, i do think it abit of a let down with no crowd ok slow downs and all tht but at least put the crowd on at the beginning of a match and at the ends not leavin it empty defo not at big games theres another thread which they say about havin a big clash between 2 top teams and onli being a few groups of crowds it just not rite not for a game whats going for realism they should now forget the gameplay and make it better in other areas cos i got to admit it most be nearly to perfection on the gameplay element maybe touch down the ref strictness or give us a choice like in fifa. now pro evo is dam good the best there ever will be for a football game but now more than ever seein the new next gen consoles r comin its about time we diss the dirt on the not so perfect parts we already no all the good bits

There is now a patch available that replaces the empty seats with crowd:

More details here.

I could have lived with the "no crowd because of the slowdown" argument if that meant that there were no more slowdown issues.

However, when i play on 60hz i still have as much slowdown as in PES4 and on 50hz i still have slowdown sometimes with corners and free kicks. So the slowdown argument to remove the crowd seems bulls**t to me.

And in case some people are asking, well what;s more important; realism or graphics? Realism of course, but if there was crowd in all the other PES-games at least we could expect crowd in PES5 couldnt we? If the machine you're programming for (i.e the PS2) just can't handle the complexity of the game anymore, just don't bring it out.

There is no crowd on pc version while playing too, I have just played PES5 on very strong machine, so I think it is not because PS2 can't handel it or they did not wanna to make difference.

i got PES5 yesterday and i must say its been worth the wait. But there seems to be a problem. When i'm playing there is no crowd the stadium is empty but when u get a free kick (player whos kickings view) the crowd appear, the same goes for replays.

i get all the chanting and singing but no crowd, it seems bizzare.

is anyone else having this problem?

i would be greatful for any advice.
It's a bug (quite annoying) common to all PES5 versions (ps2, Xbox, Pc), try changing camera type!
P.S.The konami's boy are getting old.

Hmm. But the thing is, aren't all the versions a port of the ps2 version? Which means the bug carried over to the xbox and pc? Well At first I thought it was intentional but now i'm not too sure. Some say it's fine, others say its not. Could it be that later copies removed this 'bug' if thats what it is? I can confirm that there is NO crowd on the xbox version as well on the wide angle which is what I use.

But I just find it strange, if it is a bug, then surely Konami would have been made aware and a recall of discs would have been made?

Hmm, quite a mystery.

It is not a bug. It is their way of reducing slowdown. They know it is in the game and there is nothing else they could do to get rid of slowdown.

erm someone earlier said this and i think ill say it again, if fifa with its brilliant graphics fans everything else can handle it then why cant pes have its cardboard fans back? and no i dont wanna go play fifa

Broadcasting 1 view is a good view to play and the crowd is included to. But most games the crowds are crap anyways, which is really dissapointing. a wefa championship match and the crowd looked about 5,000, pathetic man.

I dont think its all down to slow down why crowds go missing.

Play a exhibition match set the fans attendance to 3 stars and you see no slowdown in full house stadiums.

However when you are in a league or cup environment I believe crowd is linked to success and even to the clubs reputation to how many fans will follow a club.

No. There are no fans in the exhibition match either. You need to view the fans on the side of the pitch during play.
