Is there any chance the work done on this editor can used to help create an option file editor for the ps3?

Console games are read-only games. It means these games core data is in the Blu-Ray/DVD which is read-only. PC games on the other hand are installed to the hard disk. The core game data then is accessible and writable (changeable).

In order to make a complete editor, the core data needs to be changeable. CMIIW.

Are you sure?

I don't own a PS3 so my question is, can a BAL save be transfered to the PC?

If that is possible why couldn't someone create a program to read that file, edit it and then send it back to the PS3? Think about it, it is not that far fetched. Granted, I don't know if save files from the PS3 can be transfered to a PC.

There are OL for PS3 that's transfered using MaxDrive or something. So, the possibility is still there, I think. I don't own any consoles either.

Pro-Evo Editing Studio v1.3 is a little bit complicated to use but it works wonders as well if you want to edit Become A Legend

What you need to do first is get the .NET Framework 3.5. Then after you get that, click PRO-EVO Editing Studios, Two windows will come up... One is the Editing Studios and the smaller window is the Options for Configuration. On the Options Configuration window, click on the button that looks like three periods on the far right of the PES2009 Folder which is under Option File:, and Kitserver Folder:
After you click on the three period looking button on the PES2009 Folder: line you will locate your PES 2009 Folder on you hard drive. Then you press "Ok" on the bottom right hand side of the Options window. Then the Options window closes and FYI sometimes your scroll goes down on the PRO-EVO Editing Studios so make sure it is scrolled all the way up. Then click on File on the Top Left. Then a drop-down comes down you will select Open OF PC. There will be PES2009_BL01.bin, PES2009_LC01.bin, PES2009_ML01.bin, etc. Just pick one out of these it doesn't matter. Then you will get an error message. The error message will say that your file was corrupt or wrong and the file selection screen will come out again. Press cancel and scroll all the way to the top and click on the red BECOME A LEGEND icon which is three from the right. Scroll down and click the Load BAL File and load your BAL file which is something like PES2009_BL01.bin, PES2009_BL02.bin, PES2009_BL03.bin, etc. and you can do whatever you want to do with your BAL including changing your age to 15. That is it have fun! If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Yeah I know what you mean... Your editor is great too Whivel. It is definitely better than the other editor posted earlier and is much quicker than PRO-EVO Editing Studios if you only want to edit BAL like you mentioned. Also it maintains your positions and you can add positions and you can change the starting value and the current value. My only suggestion is if you can allow the option to change the player age, name spacing, nationality, etc.

The main problem to make it for ps3 is the savegame... programmer/reverser need them for analyze savegmae structure.....

However we could lucky if pc and ps3 game version use the same structure.....

if you can give me one or two ps3 savegame i may see them....

Nice program Whivel!!! But I have a lil question. I'm just starting the third season and I screwed my player using the other program (yeah, i had stats around 90 and such) and I forgot to do a backup, so, which are the average stats for a striker? I want to get normal my player (without that popup screen saying that my savegame was hacked...).

Also, is normal that you get to the bench/field at around minute 70?

Thanks in advice.

if you see the popup, the editor notice the actual stats value are different to the calculated value (original plus experience point).
However i don't know (the editor don't know too) the right value.... you may try to save with my editor without change (you open savegame, see popup and save).

:EDIT:
Yes, is normal. I'm starded the fiveth season and get to the bench/field at around minute 70-80.

Why don't someone make a editor that doesnt require damn net framework 3.5 , we don't all use SP2 , I can only have framework 1.1
