We've got to wait and see how different the edit mode is. I've heard there's more layers. Unsure whether that impacts PNGs. And besides, you can add PNGs to shorts and socks too apparently so it may be worth waiting and doing all the teams properly.

will you still be able to still use tools like photoshop and gimp to make kits?

I don't see why not? I'm sure PNGs will still be in the game, so you could still use programs like that to make the images. It's just that there should be more slots in the game to add such images. So now instead of using PS/Gimp to make shirts, you can use it to make shorts' and socks' images too. I'd guess.

That sounds amazing, dear lords of football gaming let it be so. More layers in the in game editor will be cool too - ironic if the editor ends up being bypassed by whole kit graphics.
