PES16...It's Good to be Back!

Hi All,

After a long break of mostly working I've found some time to myself to catch up on the new PES16. Absolutely love the game, with some significant improvements from last years game play and Master League.

I've just finished my 1st season with Swansea and here are some various screen shots from my early experiences...

Found some great young players to develop in the future

M.Teixeira is the pick of the bunch and recently has become my 'Protege' at 19yrs old and an OR of 82 I'm expecting big things from him in the future.

I've read that some of you are experiencing difficulties trading players but i've had one successful player & cash swap so far...and it was a good one!

Finally heres a look at my team, I've replaced all of the original Swansea squad apart from Williams who is solid at the back as my captain.

In terms of development, Martin Ødegaard is also good. However, I didn't play him much and sold him as his lack of physique and speed made him a poor player to control for his size. Well, I also use classic 10 player for AMF if needed. For this PES, so many good players will be in your youth team as those retired players show up again. I picked up a player like Ibrahimovic from my youth team let alone other great players. Once I brought Di Natale and paired with him, they developed like crazy crazy. I also brought a cheap CF maestro to boost them. I actually have 5-6 cheap maestros for important positions who don't even play at all. One bad thing is COM's players don't develop fast and their player role doesn't level up. It seems that they are always Lvl 1 while my players level up. I wish COM's development was a bit more dramatic with leveling up player's role.

Yes, I noticed this too, CPU player developed much slower than your player and team role LV remains the same LV1. My player developed a bit too fast once they have red arrow flashing opportunity which is good but makes the game less balanced and less challenging, I hope CPU player will develop as equally as my player and level up their team roles. By the way in ML I play spanish league, R. madrid Defence rating is only 77, because they sold Sergio Ramos to Baca, DF rating is used to be 82(or maybe higher). R. madrid should increase DF rating by buying some top class CBs to make the team's DF stronger so its more realistic.

Yes! My best striker was injured for 9 weeks (!) in a very crucial part of my first season. He came back, I played him immediately, and he injured himself again, this time for 3 weeks. Don't play with fire.

Oh, and they said the first injury was some kind of knee problem I cant remember now. The second was just a sprain.

Very nice to hear that! I mean, not because of the injured players but that injuries at least do appear in the game for the sake of realism and for the sake of having a bigger squad for these emergencies.

Sorry for a double post, but I have another question if you guys dont mind. What is your experience with CL so far? How many fake teams do appear in there during ML?

You should defiantly give Master League a go, best mode on the game in my opinion.

Cheers! I’ll keep it updated as much as possible.
I think the main improvement with Master League this year is that you can stop each day in the transfer window like you used to be able to do in previous games - makes building a team and selling players much more of an enjoyable process and not rush, rush, rush!

I haven’t had any issues with just having the 1 GK. I normally do this to be honest, buy one young developing GK and play him every game, if he gets injured then i’ll panic! but I find GKs don’t tend to get injured very much at all.

Yea I’ve got Odegaard on my watch list. Interesting to hear your comments on him though. I was set to make a bid for him in January but I might think twice now. I also prefer speed and power from my AMF - thats why I got Lucas Moura, he’s a really beast for me.
Douglas Costa is helping develop my young midfielders but I want to acquire more Maestros as you suggest to help with the further development for different positions.

I’ve had a few injuries, nothing as long term as Rebelinho’s 9 weeks but they do occur more often in the game this year. As you say I also think that its a good thing though and makes it more realistic. Players can get injured in training or in a match.
As for the Champions League I have only played a few group matches with Swansea this season as I wasn’t in it last year but from what I can see there are no fake teams in any of the groups.

Top target should be Alaba, Neymar, etc. At least people are saying players are a tad too cheap this year. I saw Alaba to Barça for £18mill in my Pescara ML.

Lobato certainly looks like a regen, Teixeira is too old for that.

Haha yea Teixeira and Lobato look like old men.
To be honest Ali I hadn't heard of any of them before, just acquired through some extensive scouting. Embolo is already up to 79 and i've only used him as an impact sub so far. At this rate he'll be replacing Remy as my CF.

Embolo was around £7.5m i think
Lobato was £9m
Teixeira was a good 12-13m

I signed Lucas Moura for £28m, that I though was quite cheap, didn't even try to negotiate because I really wanted him and was prepared to pay £35m+

I think you're right about the regen but a 16yr old with 75 OR (now 76) I'm not going to turn that down

He's off on loan in January as well so he'll be able to play and develop a lot more than sitting on my bench.

I do try to stick to buying real players as much as possible but I wanted some good young talent to invest in and with Swansea's limited budget I couldn't resist.

Yeah, I still havent bought the game, since there is always the same cons and pros I am trying to work out. Basicly, if I buy PES, its always because of the Master League, my favorite mode. This year one huge positive thing is there are injuries, you can stop the calendar, no fake teams in CL, at least so far. New menus. New cut scene. The negative side: most of the matches are played at night and no ability to choose it, players are way too cheap. So, compared to PES 15, the only serious upgrade is injuries. All the new looks are on the second plan. And Im still not sure to buy it or not. Haha.

Indeed. I've had three main CMF in my team. First was Moscati, from some lower tier italian team. Then was Rodrigo Dantas, from Belenenses, who's still in the squad. But then I got to my 2nd season a a lad named Giuseppe Vives appeared in my Youth Team. He's 16 and my main option for the midfield.

I do try to stick to buying real players as much as possible but I wanted some good young talent to invest in and with Swansea's limited budget I couldn't resist.

And you mentioning "short budgets"... I had €1.5m to buy players. Winning Serie B awarded me with... €1.4m. Eventually I sold some players and my most expensive signing so far was De Sciglio for almost €8m (which eventually led me to a debt of €1m).

The budgets and the "Cash Prizes" are a pain lower down the leagues. Thankfully it does get better the more you progress.
De Sciglio is a great signing! One of the best full backs in the game for me. Can cover R or L if someone gets injured or drops in form.
