Roamer for the England League relinked Patch

I haven't tried it out yet, but i'll update on this tomorrow evening.
What i do know from the screenshots is that they have created all the club emblems in a Vista Icon style, which i don't think is very suitable for this game, so I will be overwriting the badges later, and if anyone is interested, i'll upload that aswell.

I will also be patching all competition logos, and any other loose bits along with this patch and upload it in one easy to install import file for AFS_Explorer (with all the credits to original creators).

-------------------------------------------------------------

How To Install

Read the whole thing before attempting.

There is an easier way of installtion where you can import a whole folder so that you dont have to import the files one by one...

What you do is once you have loaded up you .img file on AFS Explorer, under 'Advanced' click on 'Import Folder' then browse for the directory of your downloaded patch (all unzip/unrared).

Then press OK, there may be a few files in which you would need to reserve more space for, in this case; click yes when prompted if you would like to create a new afs file.
Click yes and when the save dialog box opens, save the name to something you can remember and easily interperated what the actual file is (eg. would like to create another cv_0.img, name it cv_0a.img).
*Note, remember to click on *All Files in the 'save as' drop down menu.

Once your new .img file is written, the files would be automatically be transfered.
Once patched, backup the origianl .img file somewhere safe (or delete it - not recommended until you have tested the new .img file), then rename your your new patched .img file to the original name.

There have been many cases where you may lose sound effects you have done something wrong, so it is always a good idea to back up your files.

**IMPORTANT**

When attempting to patch with this method, make sure all file names are named as 'unnamed_????.bin' in the patch folder's directiry otherwise these files would not be recognised by the program.
(for example, the .bin file which stores the 128x128 emblem files in cv_0 is called flags_128x128_8092.bin, make sure you rename it as unnamed_8092.bin).

When you are finished with the cv_0, cv_1, and rv_e patching, remember to back up or delete your original PES2008_EDIT_01.bin file (found in 'My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\save').

And also, make sure you have the param_data_27.bin installed for cv_1.img, this is a very important file if the kits are to work.

hi, how does it work? what do i have to do?

First, download the files from the link I provided.

then follow the rest of the intsructions...

download afs_explorer here:
http://downloads.gamingaccess.com/index.php?file_id=14508

1.Open afs explorer, and click on
File>Import AFS Files

2.When the Open Dialog Box appears, click on 'All Files (*.*)' on the 'Files of type:' drop down menu.

3.Now find your .img file in your PES2008 directory, it would ask if you would like to rebuild file, if you decide to do so, remember to save it as a .img (click on 'All Files (*.*)' again) in another location (with the same name as the origial file).

4.When everything has loaded, try importing the edited .bin files again (drag & drop from folder to a file listed on the program is possible, but make sure you drop it on the appropiate file), it would would ask if you would like to reserve space, click yes.
If it fails, another error message would appear.

5.If this is the case, click on the hammer icon with the rainbow gradient background (leaving your mouse over the button would show 'Modify reserved space...')

6.A new dialog box would open, and on the right you would see colour coded numbers only for the file(s) you wish to edit (colour for other files remain black). These numbers indicate the reserved space that is going to be availible after this process (the reserved space is automatically altered only for the files you attempted to edit). If you wish to manually change the reserved space for a specific file, you may do so in the top right corner.

7.Once everything is done, click on 'Regenerate AFS!'. Rebuilding a new .img is required for this step (same as the rebuilding part in step 3).
Remember to save it as the original file name in another location.

8.Once the .img file is rebuilt, open it and you should now be able to import the .bin files you were previously unable to.

9.When the desired bin files has all been updated, close the program and backup your original .img in a safe location and place your new edited .img into the original PES2008 directory with it's orginal file name and you're done.

Thats strange, have you patched every file?

...and remember that all files have to be unnamed_****.bin if you are to install it through a folder import.

lol, you're not thick at all, i had the same problems when i first started patching, and still find bits confusing...

Goto 'My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\save' and remove your orgianl PES2008_EDIT01.bin file and apply the one provided by the patch. Also, make sure you have installed param_dat_27.bin for cv_1.img (NOT cv_0.img).

And remember to back up your files before atempting this...good luck ;)

This should do it...but if you still have problems, come back n ask...

sorry, forgot to include some minor bits to the instructions, i hope this would solve the problem for you

Come back if the problems still persists.

I'm sorry, but i think the probelm you have is out of my understanding, and i really doubt it's the installation's problem, you can try if you wish to though.

However, hopefully by before christmas i'll be releasing a patch where it is a one file installation for each of the .img files, i'll remember to private message through email to you once i upload it.

Are the classic teams with real names?

No, these are just the teams unlocked, for the names changed, you need another file (PES2008_EDIT01.bin to go in My Documents\Konami\Pro Evo 2008\save).

There are many of these edit files around the forum already, but not yet provided within this patch.
