PES5 Bugs??

Hi just got the game today off play, thanks to them for the earlier send out.
The problem:

Started a cup game, and started to fiddle around with custom formations and saved it, pretty normal but then I was playing as the away team and then noticed that my strikers and central midfielders did not "Mirror" correctly. I was playing as England btw and the problem would be that when I was playing home (on the left hand side of formation screen) I would have Lampard on the left and Gerrard on the right (both central midfield) but then using the same formation on the away side Gerrard would be on the left and Lampard on the right of central midfield and same with the strikers, Owen and Rooney. hmmm not 100% sure yet will have to give this several tries to see if it was an error on my behalf but was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

you've just got the game, is this really true about the crowd not being there on wide camera mode? thats the camera iwill be using wen i get the game 2moro ( i've got the demo) Please say the crowd things just a rumour and on some copies of the game!! Well, tell the truth lol..

Where are the crowd! is ur team that boring that they didnt bother coming to the game hehe, is it because ur on wid cam and the crowd are paper thin and maybe cant be seen from that angle?

I think that they have reduced the crowd on wide cam to minimize slowdown, if they reduce the crowd then there is less goin on and thus the game runs smoother.
Dont know if this is correct or not really maybe it is a bug.

I have played it on wide cam and you cant get the cam as far as the stands the cam stops so u cant see as far as where the crowd should be!!

I have not got PES5 yet, should get it tomorrow, so can not confirm the bug issue, but I have had WE9 for a few months now, the no crowd issue has been well discussed and documented in this forum. It is basically to reduce slow down, which it obviously does, personally I think this was introduced to reduce lag as a lot of people did not experience any slowdown on previous games; maybe wrong though!

Tried the formations again using several combinations and several different teams and seems to be fine now????? I think the problem may have been the way PES5 stocks the formation into memory and just kept on overriding my formation until I cleared the stocked formation, anyway not sure what happened but no bug, but the same old 60HZ problem is still there, slow down on corners and when crossing the ball and the where the graphics sort of mess up (vertical tear line that goes across the screen)...

you can see empty seats at stadiums like old trafford, it looks rubbish. I know premiership attendances are on the slide but an empty OT???

There's an odd bug on the xbox version of the game that switches logos around on edited team kits.

For instance, I put the nike logo on the top lest of the ManUnited shirt and the big round V vodofone logo in the centre. When I played as a match the nike log had replaced the V in the centre of the shirt. I went back to the editing screen and found that the editor had put the nike logo there. This wasn't a one off as it has happened several times now. Very odd.

I imported all my created logos from PES4 as I couldn't be arsed doing them all again so maybe the bug is someting to do with the pes4 option file conversion..?

most of the stadiums anyways u cant see the crowd if ur playin in the default camera angle

Not a bug, exactly, but I'ts a bit sad that they're so strict on assist (as in pes4). If you get more than two touches before scoring, the passer gets no assist!!! Some of my finest throughballs have not been awarded as assists and it bugs me.

I don't care about things like the nike sign being on kits or boots etc, because you don't notice them when playing but you do notice an empty stadium. I always play as Man Utd in the wide camera angle and the empty seats just look rubbish. Considering it wasn't a problem in PES4 it seems like a backward step

It wasn't a problem in pes4 but there was alot of slowdown on corner kicks and freekicks. Getting rid of the crowd is possibly the only way to reduce slowdown.
Id much rather play a smooth game of football and have some of the crowd missing than a jerky game with a full crowd. Probly just a matter of opinion though.

I was never really noticed slowdown on corners. Maybe they could've set an option to switch the crowd on/off so we could both be happy

you are all probably aware, but for some reason, even tho the crowd is missing from the 'usual' camera angles, it is always present if you are to use "BROADCAST1". At 60htz the frame rate never drops except maybe at corners even with the crowd there, not just for cut scenes ect.
Could it be that only a small section of the crowd can be seen on Broadcast1 so they left them in, and a higher camera angle causes the crowd to slow the game down ?

On wide cam in the San Siro, you can see the crowd but at Stamford bridge, you cannot.

Dunno about other stadium as ive only played in those 2 so far.

Come on Konami, the slightest tiniest things like that are the most annoying :(

but I find broadcast unplayable. In the corners of the pitch it cuts to a camera closeup (like it would on tv) which is completely disorientating. It's all well and good to talk about licensing and player likenesses and wristbands and boots and all, which are minor touches which add to the realism, but in terms of suspension of disbelief, realism is completely undone by playing to an empty stadium as if it were Peter Crouch's testimonial.

Well said mate , that really gets on my nerves too !! It's just such a pointless inclusion !! :angry:
