Hasn't anyone started with Default Master League team on 6* yet, nearly everyone just seems to play on 3* or 5* with the match mode players, not a real challenge if you ask me!

I choose Wigan on 6* and it wasn't that easy and you can't buy anyone for a long time and you have to really master the game before you will find it easy! I think it is a good challenge and I have yet to play the big and better premiership teams when I am in the first division so I would advise you to try that for a good challenge!

Here's my Master League story:
I'm in my second season now with Aston Villa, firstly Hendrie gets injured....8 weeks, okay. Next game, McCann & Hendrie gets injured, one 12 weeks and the other 2. Next game, everythings fine. NEXT GAME, Berger injured.....46 weeks!
Anyone else had the same or am I really unlucky?
(Did anyone have any career-ending injuries in PES4 or 5, I never but they said it could happen.)

I remember them saying it was possible on pes4 but i never got anyone out injured where they retired because of it. I think you might see it happen in pes5 though.. i'm in my second season i havent had many injuries.

Master League Update. PES United.
Hello PES Fans,
Fixture 13 against WE United Away. I was hoping to pile pressure on my rivals who are struggling at the bottom end of the table with Birmingham and Blackburn. I could only manage a 0-0 draw though and missed some good chances. Man Utd won 4-1 against Villa away. Liverpool won comfortably against Newcastle 3-0 away and Arsenal beat Blackburn 3-0.
Fixture 14 against Liverpool Away. A cruel narrow defeat. Ruskin was sent off for a second bookable offence and Kewell scored in stoppage time to hand liverpool the victory. Ruskin will be suspended for next game and my top scorer Hamsun is out for two weeks with an injury. I thought i'd done enough to seal a point away but it wasn't to be. Arsenal spanked Charlton 5-0 at the valley. Manchester United beat Chelsea 2-1. Man U are still two points clear of Arsenal at the top. Birmingham are bottom.
Fixture 15 against Chelsea Home. Drawn 1-1 Chelsea scored first with a penalty by Lampard. The equalizer came through a spanish connection Ximelez set up Ordaz. Man Utd beat Arsenal 3-2 at highbury and Liverpool beat Middlesbrough 2-0. Utd now five points clear at the top. Birmingham have 1 win from 15 and are bottom with Blackburn.
I made it through to Q/F stage of Div1 cup. Blackburn away 1st leg.
Doing the hard part i picked up a 1 goal win to take to the next leg. Castolo surprised all by beating the offside trap to take it round Friedel and score. It was also a good victory as they beat in week 1.

I'm desperately short in defensive and midfield players. Although Hamsun is only out for two weeks i also could do with another striker.

Its a challenge and i find that when i do start my other ML campaign with Man Utd I'll be opting for the United Players as i'll switch to 6*.

For what it's worth, i've started with Dynamo Kiev on 3*. I'll wait till i've won all the master league trophies before i ratchet the difficulty up.
Blimmin masters. Went upto the top league first season and last season i won the league used the points to sign myself the magnificent eto'o...thought i'd done something really great when i signed him and he scored 2 goals on his debut...then he got injured for a week so i rested him then he fought back with another 2 goals...then he got injured again....he came back...now hes injured for 34 WEEKS!!!! PAINFUL!

My season update
Okay People. Half way through my second season. (see above updated scores by me).
In the first leg D1 Cup game against Chelsea I was 2-0 down at half time. Chelsea were that good. My centre backs couldnt get near Crespo!
Anyway.. I throw on Ordaz.. as a makeshit AM.. because Minanda was well knacked!
He comes on and scores a goal for us.. so we're 2-1 down in stoppage time.. a really good one two with Castolo and Ordaz breaks away from Huth.. who's not the quickest defender.. Ordaz gets into the area and pulls thr trigger.. GOAL YES ITS IN!! .. Nestled into the bottom left corner.. okay i have to play them at SB but hey a 2-2 draw with Chelski i was well pleased.
My next game a home match against Aston Villa. Last time out I lost 3-2 as Milan Baros scored a sensational hat trick.. this time i made sure he didnt get a sniff. I played really well and at HT it was 0-0 then in the second half with about an hour gone.. Berger played a ball to Baros.. in the air.. and it appeared to deflect off Libermann's shoulder and allow Baros time to control it and move in on goal.. i chopped him down with Libermann.. who was red carded for a professional foul. Milner blazed the fk over the bar!
I was down to ten men.. and had made all 3 subs by this point.. so i put Hamsun as a makeshift cb. He got the job done and whats more.. 18 year old captain Herrero played really well he got a 7.5 in this game. Then into 90+ Castolo whips in a corner from the right side.. Herrero beating the markers rises highest and flicks the ball with his head past Sorensen.. YES! Jubilation and retribution for the defeat at Villa Park!. GET IN THERE!!

im still on pes4 for now and i started with the own team, 6*,5000 points and i had lovenkrands and rommedahl by mistake with r.smith but now after 2 and a half seasons im rich and i don the d2 double
d1 double and im 100% in all competitions in my third season and nearing the cl semi against man u, i hope pes5 is harder than this at least
did anyone see my liverpool season from the old thread, i posted the whole season
i hope to read more like that but so far these are all good
i saw that vorlander and the oldies have gone, are the new players better or worse?
are modified stats in the ml this time or is it the default stats again

Hey Methical,
In truth the new players are just copies of the old retiring ones.. just younger with different names and different appearance.. i say they are copies as they are same country and still quite dire!
Ordaz is a good centre forward and Jaric who can play CB or LB has a really good fk accuracy and curling. I suspect they done this as Minanda is 34 when you start the ML and you only have two seasons before he hangs up his boots. A good feature you see at start of campaign is a small chart appears.. saying who's retired from your team. How many total games they've played and a picture of them with stats on too!.. I thought this was a neat touch by Konami.. when you sign someone on the negotiations window pressing X button allows you to see a similar screen.. A photo with stats on.. age, height, weight and country..
As for the editing.. i am not sure as i have not explored this side of ML yet.. If you have any questions on PES5 you'd like me to answer then PM me and i'll do all i can to answer them..

I'm having a tough time with the ML on 6*, At best I accomplish "mid-table medicority" in Div 2, despite having some great players, at worst my club is going to have to sell some talent.
I've gone two seasons in Div 2 and haven't been anywhere near promotion, I just can't score regularly, and my defence is shocking.
My strike force is Van Persie, Bergkamp (young), Dicanio (young), Sinama Pongolle, Zidan (not Zidane, Zidan) and my goalkeeper is the higly payed "huber", though I'm not sure he warrants his price tag.
Any tips guys?
