OK children, last time I'll try to explain how to get it working. Like the man leonbaars said, it's an ok patch but not amazing so if the below instructions look too difficult then leave it and wait for the next patch to be released.
Method a la Zyg:
1. Delete everything you have. Delete your patch, and delete your image. No, don't be lazy. Delete the image now. I mean it. Or you will just waste another disk.

4. Use WinRAR to unrar these files. The Fix file unrars to form one folder containing the FIX ppf file.
And then you only need to unrar Part 1 and it will combine automatically with parts 2-5 to form another folder containing the part 1 ppf, part 2 ppf, option files and ppf-o-matic 3 patching tool.
5. Rip your dvd image from your PES5 original. Don't even think about using the iso already on your hard disk. I told you to delete that so do it already :realmad:
6. Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the
part 1 ppf to the iso.
7. Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the
part 2 ppf to the iso.
8. Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the
FIX ppf to the iso.
9. I recommend you to delete the unrarred patch folders. Keep the rar files.
10. Defrag your hard disk.
11. Reset your PC.
12. Open either dvd-decrypter or Alcohol120% or nero (I only use dvd-decrypter or alchol). Do not open any other programs at all. If you have stuff like MSN autostarting, close it and anything like that.
13. Insert a good quality DVD-R (or +R depending on your PS2) which can burn at slow speeds.
14. Set your burning program to burn your patched ISO file at 2x. If you cannot use 2x then 4x is ok. I always and only use 2x. A bit of knowledge is required here. Your dvd-burner needs to be
capable of burning at slow speeds such as 2x and the disk needs to be able to be burnt at 2x too. If not then you'll have to go with 4x.
15. If you are are running any other programs while burning then you deserve a slap. Did I say to open other programs? I don't care if you're impatient while the image burns. Go play the original PES5 or something. NO OTHER PROGRAMS RUNNING WHILE YOU BURN.
16. When it has finished burning you may put your new patched disk into your modded/chipped PS2 and play your patched PES5.
Any deviation from this guide will cause you problems and result in further pining and whining. Just do what I say and it will work. If not then you are not doing what I said. So you need to work on your reading skills or your ability to follow instructions. In SOME cases, your PC may be the problem so follow this guide on another PC and it will work fine.
That is all. Anyone else who can't get it to work will be asked to read through this post. I'm not repeating myself again.
