i must say i'm very disappointed with the game, winning eleven 10 was much better, the gameplay was fluid and you can actually play an offensive fast paced football, now PES6 is a lot worse, you're playing with a ball that seems to be filled with water instead of air, there are no big differences with player arrows ( except for robinho  ), passes are shit, just one ball type, no german league, they lost the chelsea license ?? ( ). So the conclusion winning eleven 10 is a lot better than pes6, you all like pes6 now cause it's new but if pes5 was released nowadays you'll all be amazed by it. FIFA 07 has improved a lot and actually i'm enjoying it :stunned:

I bought the PS2 version from Tesco (£25 by the way, worth a look) and I've been playing on it for about 6 hours now since. Overall i think the game is great. The way the game feels is just so different, you can really feel a hard challange and your eyes light up when you see the ref point to the spot in the last minute. Every player is so different and i'm amazed how similarly they play to their counterparts, and look. I have not yet got back to my usual 6* level but at 4* the challange is still there. Also between games i have been creating my side: Takeley Youth, and i've found the editing options great, the closeness of the kiti've made to our real one is unreal and everything is just so realistic. One downpoint is that you can only use nine pairs of boots, whereas clearly not everyone in the world has the same 9 pairs of boots, this has annoyed me slightly, maybe something for seabass to think about next time. However back to the good news and the I'm painstaikingly recreating all of our team members and the final products are great, i'm proud of my work- konami should be proud of theres. Great work guys. P.S crunching c.ronaldo yourself is almost as good as the real thing.

difficulty?

I must say I really like the game. The internation challenge is fun, the gameplay is great and I like the new moves and animations.

One thing really bothers me though. I've been playing for a week and I find the game too easy at moments. I'm playing on Top Player and I started a league with barca. I'm halfway the season and I've got 7 points more than the second team, and I score about 3 goals every match (15 minutes). The keepers are really shite every now and then, fumbling balls shot in at an extremely low speed.

Really hope you can secretly win an extra difficulty.

Well i got the game last wednesday and got rid of it thursday thats for the 360 by the way. Theres a lack of features, gameplay is poor, menus poor i could say i whole list but ill leave it.

Anyway im absolutely gutted by PES6 i thought after the brilliant game of PES5 they would make it better but....obviously not. I thought id never do this but i might go and pick up Fifa tomoz despite the rubbish gameplay..hopefully ill see you all next year thats if they get the game sorted out.

I've read quite a few posts that say something along the line of 'PES 6 is basically the same as PES 5'. It confuses me.

PES 6 is very, very different to PES 5 in terms of gameplay. I fail to see how it's 'basically the same' as it's clearly been completely revamped. When PES 5 was released, it was the most changed version in the series; the most drastically tweaked, and it totally changed the gameplay. The difference between 5 and 6 is probably as significant as the difference between 4 and 5. PES 5 made PES 4 seem completely unrealistic, and now I think PES 6 has done the same to PES 5. The realism is amazing, and I'd put money on PES 7 making me laugh at how I thought PES 6 seemed so realistic, as the series improves each year.

The PES series has ALWAYS been about accurately simulating real-life football. When you play a game, it's supposed to look and feel like a real-life match. The whole series is an on-going project that aims to achieve this (as the name suggests).

So, when people complain that Konami are going in the wrong direction by making the game more realistic and 'boring', they have either missed the point of the series, or they don't agree with its purpose in the first place. In such cases, they should be thankful that they enjoyed playing early versions, but now accept that the aim of the series isn't suited to their taste, and either just stick to the versions they enjoy or play a different football game.

Agree

I agree with most of what Shotgun said a few posts ago. People will not look beyond the no edits, no replays etc... Yes! we are all disappointed with their none appearance on the 360. But i'm sorry the fact that I can't play in an Anfield stadium or can not play in snow or have to play as Merseyside Reds does distract me from the fact that the gameplay is outstanding and the realism is approaching.....well! the real thing.
The game play and AI is without question the best yet, sure it takes time to get used to like every new pro evo edition does.
It sounds like some people want pro evo to turn into FIFA.
Don't get me wrong I wish that all that was missing was there but that is not what Pro Evo is all about.
PLAY THE GAME.

I've had it for two days now and I'm really enjoying it so far. I've noticed some minor tweaks have been changed. For example, when I score a penalty (My very first PES6 goal courtesy of Juninho), he doesn't just stay there and lift his arms up, instead he runs to celebrate. Also, in another penalty, the keeper might actually parry it towards you and you can finally score off a rebound.

When I took of Juninho and replaced him with Diarra, I noticed that Juninho's captain band has been removed already and is NOT with Diarra, like in previous games.

Gameplay is pretty nice, engine running smoothly, it is slower, and I'm liking it. I hope as time goes on, I will still like the gameplay.

The keepers are more sensible now, they pull off some great saves, some were unbelievable. Although they parry it too many times to a striker who just has to tap it in.

High Level is my level apparently. Last night, in the International mode, I was France randomized into a group consisting of N. Ireland, Spain and Italy. N. Ireland first and I managed to scrape with a 1-0 win. Most of the times, the Irish were pushing me, and if it wasn't for Taylor, it could have been atleast 3-0. He was brilliant on the night. And for the first time in a very long time, the opposition managed to have more shots on target than me, I was impressed.

I'm delighted that Ligue 1 is licensed and aswell as France, this is just my type of game. Good to see the Bernabeu too.

The available balls are neat and so are the shoes. Editing mode is not bad at all.

It's just really a shame that Bundesliga is not on the game, the likes of Bremen, Schalke, Stuttgart not on a PES game is a real pity. Otherwise, almost 80% of all other teams are licensed, so that is a good job. Licensed national teams are brilliant, keep em coming Konami.

New faces updated, Ribery, Malouda etc. They have their original faces now.

Overall, I'm happy with the game, this for the PS2 by the way. I hope it's just doesn't wear out on me anytime soon.

Most of you will have been playing the new game for at least 24 hours now, so what do you think? Does the latest installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series live up to your expectations?

Vote in the poll and leave your views.

Hi peeps

I've had the game for my 360 since Thursday and although the game does seem to have improved (graphically and gameplay) I'm very disapointed with the no show of the edit mode WTF! and the online mode is poo as I have so much trouble connecting to opponents including my online friends. Hopefully this is just a teething problem as I think PE6 failing to be a heavyweight on the online scene will be a major downfall for Konami. I'm not saying PE6 is crap by any means it will always be the best, but the no edit mode and online part are major concerns.

The best keeps getting better. A vast improvement over the stop start of PES5, slowing down the gameplay is a masterstroke.

Didn't think it was possible but Konami have made the game even better.

Am loving the new International Challenge mode, currently on brink of taking Argentina to the World Cup finals.

One of the best improvements in my opinion is the heading aspect of the game, struggled to score many in PES5 but have scored a few corking diving headers with Crespo and scored a lovely looping back post header with Crouch versus the dirty Portugese to win in the final minute.

I loaded this game and as usual after a couple of games the ball and passing seemed to suck bad almost threw it in the bin and then I said to my self hold on this is pro evo stick at it and oh my god the beautiful game is back.

I was never a fan of Pro 5 and always thought it needed tweaking. I am now totally satisfied and the realism for me is incredible. Playing online everyone one used to play down the side as if you played anyone half decent and took the ball into the midfield you would be closed down in an instant and the ball taken off you.

The single player AI is poor in my opinion but I judge games off online and multi-player and this game has given a whole lot of fist pumping moments already. I love the way you can now build up play through the middle and sides if you perfer. One 2`s work amazingly and at last the through balls are fixed.

A note on defensive for those struggling take your finger off the speed button as you will run past the player every time and then he is gone, just like attacking you have to vary the button. I assure you if you use the x button and run slowly to the guy he will not get past you. Unlike Pro 5 I used the square all the time and defend dam well but I was not doing much as I would let the computer do the work now I actually have to defend.

These games are very different in my opinion and this one is a winner for me big time the best so far IMO. remember how everyone bagged pro 5 in the first month and then suddenly presto everyone loved it people always take a while to get used to it and some longer than others.

This game is the DOGS B..ll..cks U do the maths.

please help

OK, just bought the game a few hours ago, i´ve been playing the winning eleven version for some weeks now.

my question is: why is the speed of the game TEN times faster then the wining eleven version?? or even pes5????

is something wrong with my ps2 or something? is there an option to slow the game down?? is this a known bug im not aware of?

as anyone noticed how fast the game is? for all the people that played the winning eleven version: do you think pes6 is alot faster too?

i like the ps2 version so far. i'm a little dissapointed with some of the new players though. as i'm a gunner i would expect walcott to be faster than henry over short distances and generally ridiclously quick. (i also looked at lennon for spurs whose stats just aren't up to scratch). fabregas is another dissapointment, it's been a long time that he has been running our midfield and although he is neither extremely fast or strong he should be extremely good at keeping and distributing the ball and have very good dribble control - it's just not correct.
the new animations are good, the controlled shot side foot is better (but i was still occaisionally getting that "special leg" glitch).
the length of time is takes to stop the game after an offside seems bizarrely long....
where has the hard lofted through ball up the pitch over the defence gone though? that alway used to upset my flatmates.
