after a couple of weeks i feel so at home with pes6, that same warm feeling as playing pes5 and pes4 before that. i was worried that the slower pace and appaling defending would be a problem but, as always you learn to adapt to these things very quickly and find yourself playing some great football in no time. the passing is so much better, the 1-2's are so much better, the lofted through balls - how they should be finally (a chip rather than a lofted drive). i'm definitely not happy with some of the player stats but there are enough good players to make it enjoyable. i was always massively into the master league, but i haven't really gone deep on that in pes6. my opinion now is that it's much better to play against human opposition. it really is tedious playing against the computer AI - it's so predictable on any difficulty setting and i agree wholeheartedly with jordan about the "scripted" feeling you get when you are doing 1 player.

people complaining that the game is too fast what planet are you on? you must have the game speed turned up or maybe you are on the xbox and it's just another problem with that. the ps2 version is CONSIDERABLY SLOWER THAN PES5.

Pro Evo 6 on the PS2.
I've played 3 master league seasons with Barcelona on the professional difficulty and found the games more scriped than ever before. Example - drawing nil ni with the weakest side in the league after having 20 shots on goal and than conceding a goal in the last second from a keeper error. In fact i've found that playing the weaker teams is always harder than playing the likes of Valencia and Seville who were near the top - this is not very realisitic. And teams like Real Madrid and Villareal give you no time on the ball and always have three men chasing after the exceptionally unskillful Edmilson - again not very realistic - Bolton maybe, Real Madrid no!

I appreciate Konami have fixed the niggling little fouls from Pro evo 5 but I think they've over done it. I've played many 30 minute games without any free kicks being awarded to me - again not very realistic and free kicks are stupidly hard when they do come around! And injuries - where are they?? I've played 3 seasons and had one injury in total - not realistic at all but i guess you can't get injured when the oppostion don't seem to foul very much.

Penalties - where have they gone? I've played three seasons - not one penalty awarded. The defenders never go to ground in the box anymore.
Unfortunatly the x button is a waste of time. It seems that when the computer wants a player to get a shot on goal there's no way the mightly Puyol and Thuram are getting the ball of the striker.

Its a real shame - pro evo 6 could have been great but again there are too many flaws.
Anyone agree or disagree?

I agree. I am a true football lover. And know have most team play, like you pointet out with Bolten and Real. The game is great, but there are too many things that disapoint me.

One thing is the Mix and match shirts and shorts before games, which was great at PES5. That's no more (

its interesting you think PES6 is slower than PES5. I read a review in PS3 saying the same thing but i definitely think PE6 is much faster than the new one

ye, i'm gutted you can't change shorts and socks anymore before games. And why are the stadiums nearly always empty when playing a master league season - not very realisitc considering i'm barcelona. Will they ever make the perfect footy game? Combine FIFA 2007 and Pro Evo 6 and were there!

Wait Here, Gone for Help
I played the ps2 version the other day and the gameplay is terrible compared to the 360 one

A lot of people like pes6 for the PS2, and that makes me wanna buy a Network Adapter ( ethernet )
Should I buy one?? I'm not quite sure. I have KILLZONE too, which I'd love to play online....

LISTEN GOOD GAME PES6 - HOWEVER THE INABILITY TO MIX KITS ie AWAY SHIRT WITH HOME SOCKS IS A HORRIBLE DEDUCTION FROM PES5 (however i can play in penguin suits?????????? - Sort it out Konami your taking the michael) -

ALSO PACE IS TOO MUCH OF AN ADVANTAGE - ON LEVEL 5 I CAN TAKE PLAYERS ON ALL DAY WITH A FAST WINGER (NOT VERY REALISTIC)

LEADS ME ON TO LEVEL 5 TOP PLAYER, WHERE IS LEVEL 6!!!

I am looking here at the negatives? Yes i am!!! because if we all respond with - Great game 10/10 Konami will believe that we want to play with Penguin suits and not try and stop kit clashes by being able to mix the kits.

Surely some of you have negatives???

I give PES6 8.5/10 a great game

Pes 5 was 9.5/10 ( 1 mark more because of the pingy shooting - Come on people! the pingability on PES5 was sweeeet!!!)

sorry - my response is mostly to the 1st page responses which are horrificly bum sucking "yeah what a great game- I love everything about it" (you easily pleased plebians!

Have played pes6 on ps2 for a month now and I like it. Gameplay is a bit fast playing against other persons, but the improved control of player, passes etc. is great. A lot of action in games, and some good moves and shots is what I have experienced so far. I like that Mr. Seabass has made the direction of passes less automatic than they were in pes5. I think you have made a great game once again, Mr. Seabass. Thank you for that! :)

nice game, up there with pes3 and pes5. but konami will have to put in a mammoth effort for the ps3 engine. I expect no less...or at least change the feckin music in the edit mode, being an in-game editor (a dying breed?) it can drive you nuts.

on the 360 version, ive won the reebok cup, from other messages on here ive heard u open up the classic teams like: Classic Argentina and Brazil. but ive not noticed any change in the options menu or elsewhere. can anyone tell me if they have unlocked the classic teams on 360 version and how do u find them ? By the way I won it on professional player level. Unless i have to unlock them on the top player level.

Please let me know 360 owners

Awesome game :)

Does the latest installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series live up to your expectations?

Hell yeah!

i saw pes6 advertised in a magazine for the PS2 and so i bought it and it is awesome! shame i don't have the ethernat device to play online alwell. it's alittle unrealistic though with how much u can score in one game. Brazil V saudi Arabia exhibition match i was Brazil (beginner mode). 15 mins left and it was 15-0 i was up! that's my highest score so far. anyone done better?

Can't remember which cup it is but you have to play as, for example, Brazil and win the cup to unlock classic brazil.
