but what could we do if Konami release a "Day One Patch" at the same day when PES 2018 comes out ?
i remember this happened to PES 2016 ,there was no chance to make base copy before.

Turn off internet before introducing PES 2018 disc on ps4 (assuming you have the disc version, I don't know how it works for digital version), launch the game, save any players you want (if you want, export the players on a team just to be sure) and then quit the game, turn on internet, update the game and launch PES 2018 again ;)

The last few years the day 1 patch has just moved these players to free agents. no guarantee it will be the same this year so just in case do as below

Free agent pool thankfully. But there are players they added like Javier Hernadez who don't have a face that had one last year. Very strange.

I remember seeing Bhatti say on Twitter than all the live updates do it update purely rosters and its impossible to add graphics using them.
This happened last year with some players. They were all re-added in the first DLC pack.

All players went into free agents. You don't need to base copy anyone its causing havoc with duplicates.

Konami didn't take any players out of the game last year i don't see them doing it this year, but you can base copy if you want :) It is causing duplicates all over the place though so be careful. :)
