Pleasure Horn / Africa??

My question is, why, if PC Modders and Game Editors, can expand the game, for example: Smoke Patch 8.5 for PES 16 PC, adds about 30 or more national teams etc.

Why oh why did they not at least create a fake African League or fake African Cup...that we could edit ourselves, like the PEU, PLA, and PAS leagues...no licensing, not even a lot of programming I'm guessing. It's so awkward having Pleasure Horn in the World Club Cup every single year.

Any insight on this?

I would like a lot to have some Africa teams. We could use the CAF 5-Year ranking to get the best Africa teams and/or the clubs who are in the final stages of CAF Champions League. The worst part is find out editors who would be interested in create such teams.
I update the CAF ranking using this year results and the best teams in Africa in the last years are:

Étoile du Sahel, CS Sfaxien and Espérance de Tunis from Tunisia;
Al-Ahly and Zamalek from Egypt;
Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa;
ES Sétif (and maybe MO Béjaïa) from Algeria;
Mazembe from Congo DR;
Al-Hilal from Sudan.

Also, I would love if Konami put the CONCACAF Champions League in PES, at least a generic one. I know Liga MX and MLS are particularly stronger than the rest of South American leagues, but I prefer use the Liga Aguila (Colombia) for PLA League to get a more close to real experience, especially in refers to Copa Libertadores (which will have more teams next year, including 5 from Colombia instead of 3, as this year edition), but also MLS and MX are great additions to PES and I would love to have all of them in the game.

I am sure editors from all over would pop up to fill them. Thing is they have nowhere to put them. Question is why if the ychose to include pleasure horn, did they not even make a fictitious edit-able league or cup? Like a PAF league.

PC always have easier to mod. PS has a closed system. I think there have to a limit to editing and adding league from Konami perspective. It would be nice if they give a option to edit world club team names though.

I've always said this. Surely the only restriction is the size of someone's HDD? The only reason we can't do it, and I guess it's a fairly obvious one, is because Konami would worry about future sales of PES if we could edit anything we want in the current version.

For your info, if you have a jailbroken PS3 you can get some amazing patches that change the look of the game, add player faces, change kits, add boots and balls and ad boards, even flare effects etc.

Check this out: https://www.facebook.com/gembox.patch/

I use it and it's amazing. The downside is you have to play on PS3, but it's not too bad.

There is no reason we can't add more leagues on PS4. Since all games are installed on Hard Drive we could actually have as many leagues as we want. It doesn't affect the system memory, since the files are only loaded once you select the league/team you want to play with.

For example FIFA 12 I played on my laptop with 2gb of ram. However, I could add as many leagues/teams I want to the game database and play with them as long as there was space on the HDD. The game only loads the needed files and database, but it will only load the kits and other things like balls, stadiums etc. once you select them. That's why on PC we can do anything, but also on CFW PS3.

Can they Jailbreak PS4? I'm gonna buy one of the new PS4 Pro's anyway in a month, I don't mind messing this one up...to try something new...

I guess that probably is the reason...because I really see no reason to limit creation of teams leagues.

I guess if you had all the way up to 3rd division of almost every country...and believe me some people would definitely do it...

They probably would not want to buy the next game right away....cuz of all the work...good insight friend.

I can understand that from a Konami point of view, it doesn't make it any less annoying though. That might be why they haven't done anything great with PC as well because they know how much people can mod that version.

I don't think the PS4 has been jailbroken yet, so no possibilty of having a patched PES on there unfortunately. You can pick up a jailbroken PS3 for less than £100 on eBay though I imagine. Even though the graphics are slightly worse, I prefer to play PES on that because of all the extra faces and options it offers.

Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa.

Since this fictitious African team is from South Africa, has anyone edited the players to be one of these teams? I realize on PS4 we can't change the team name or uniform, but we should be able to edit the players like previous years. Obviously since they aren't able to be exported we'd have to manually edit them one by one.

If anyone has edited them to a real squad, what stats did you use?

I'm trying to turn Pleasure Horn into Al-Ahly (since it's the only one in the "Other African Teams" anyway, I thought I should use the greatest champion of the continent). I figured I could use razib_46's PES Next-Gen Editor to import players from the Egyptian NT, considering the players from hidden teams can be regularly called up for their respective national teams, as well as import data from a regular team into it, but I found out that the kits don't get imported, only name, badge and manager information do. As such:

There could at least be an editor that allowed us to insert uniform info if we know the right numbers for parts and colors, as well as pasted uniforms. I made a pseudo-kit which is just the sponsors pasted on transparent background to save space - I'm running out after I used up most of it with the unlicensed teams and to create leagues over PEU, PLA and PAS. If I could bind it to the PSH kits and configure its parts, I'd be all set.

And I'm still hoping that next year Konami will make at least an African team block available along with a PAF League (because if you choose a non-league team, Master League will force you to play in any of the existing leagues, which is kinda nonsense), in which case I probably could offer a hand if only for an OF. I'm not a gifted facemaker/kitmaker, but I'm a good researcher. I dig deep enough for info on the teams I want to put in my game, as was the case with this OF I made for PES 5.

yea whoever came up with the name Pleasure Horn really must have been taking the P :tongue:

Yeah, the name reminds me of that Futurama episode with the aliens that steal Fry's nose... xD
In fact, I think this is one of the most normal names Konami's come up with in later years. Seriously, their attempts at sounding foreign make me cringe, it feels like they get high on some weird dope before inventing those fictitious names.
