To make this clear I`m talking about on the pitch and NOT about things like the menues or gamemodes.

My main point is that PES15 is kind of a downgrade, beginner version of PES14. Last year we had a lot of complaints about slow turning, being unable to score long range goals, slow movment, need for a third arm to play, in general not being able to play it like ten years ago.

So to keep selling Konami cut off many things or made them easier so everyone can play without having to learn.
Fact is everything you can do in PES 15 could be done in PES 14 and even worth, so PES 15 is the newer version you can even do less.

Lets compare PES 15 to PES 14:

- JOSTLING / SHOULDER BARGE via the right stick gone in PES 15

- PERFECT TRAP using RT/R2 gone in PES 15

- HOLD UP PLAY still there but less controlled, players will now auto JOCKEYING even if you don`t want for example when the player is allready is passed you

- COMBINATION PLAY using LT/L2 gone

- KNUCKLE SHOT will now happen random

- ANIMATIONS have taken a hit to allow more responsive controlles. You can see now more often again how they skip an animation to make the next move or look at how they turn now or how they can stop on point while running with the ball at full speed.

- COLLISSION DETECTION you can see balls going through feets, legs going through legs more often in PES 15

- TACKLING in PES 15 will now constantly let your player set into some kind of stun, stumbling, falling. So the other player can pick up the ball. The ball rarely will bounce. Try a Knock On by pressing R2/RT + the right stick, when the defenders touches the ball youre player will stumble

- SCRIPTING in PES 15 is heavy

- when sending a second defender in PES 15 they don`t seem to be aware that the target is moving.

There is more is more but lets leave it with that, PES 15 isn`t really bad but it`s more than a step back if you like demaning games and like you`re games to evolve instead of being aimed at casual gamers.
The worst? Most people or even professional reviewers don`t even seem to notice.

Here is a video I posted a while ago to show a few of those things

i agree with pretty much everything. gameplay all in all, in PES 2014 was better.
tackling was much easier and it was fun to play defense, for the first time in my PES "career".
moving, dribbling, shooting was so much better and easier, now i play with Germany against saudi-frikkin-arabia and all of their players dance around mine like Messi, its a bit ridiculous when i try to shoot, pressure or tackle and all my players do is lose the ball / opponent and stumble / fall.
NOT GOOD konami.

its your opinion but it's wrong. pes15 is the rebirth while pes14 was just another miss

Wow, you really have some good points there. If you just want an HD Remake of a ten year old PES game then PES15 is the right game for you, but if you want the games you like to advance and present new ideas and options you are wrong.

Maybe you haven`t noticed but most of what I have written are simple facts and not an opinion.

To say it loud and clear one could say that PES15 is aimed at beginners and idiots. Thats what Konami said a year ago when they were talking about "...looking at the European market". They just made the game easier by removing things so no one would get their feelings hurt and could come to a forum and blame the game for their mistakes.

funny thing, i think PES 15 is widely the opposite of what you say there. i think its actually harder to effectively & successfully defend, score Goals, play nicer sweeter sequences leading to a shot on Goal, etc etc
i think they made the game more similar to Fifa, maybe to get more $$$ and make a point that EA isnt such a financial powerhouse anymore.
as far as it concerns the on-the-pitch-Gameplay, i think they did make it worse tho :(

I know what you mean and yes somethings like defending are harder but because you having less controlle over it and of how the animations and movement of the players works now. Like when the CPU or a human player goes into "Messie mode" the player can move rather unrealistic. If you watch it the player will stop, run, stop, turn, maker another turn, run again, make another 3 turns in one second. You can see how animations are skipped to allow the next movement. That is hard to follow for a human player.

The same why you say scoreing is harder, the defenders are in some parts and mostly when played by the CPU are unrealistic strong for example when you have the ball and run down the line at full speed with a defender at you`re side, first he seems to have less problems making a good tackle at full speed, second if you make a sudden stop in reality and mostly in PES14 the defender would need some time to react to this, to stop and turn around, in PES15 this time window is very small and the defender often seems to know it before you do it and can also turn and even make the tackle easely.

What I mostly mean is that the controlles have become easier. No "Perfect Trap" means someone who plays for the first time is as good now in that area as a PES veteran.
Running and turning - you get less penaltys in PES15 when you make unrealistic movement changes.
The use of the right stick to block and attack, in PES15 it`s gone so you don`t have to learn it, but also sacrificeing a level of controlle over it and also I feel it`s much less intense now.
