Yes, going by what other people report and after watching countless videos. But that's normal for any game. And it's why there are reviews and discussion forums -- so that consumers can make informed decisions. Probably 9 out of 10 gamers on these various forums have been highly critical of PES 2012. That's more than enough input to convince me the game has some serious problems, and to stay away from it. Plus I can see for myself with the many videos I've watched. The game looks terrible.

played the FIFA 2012 demo last night a bit, fun game but I don't know that even with all the PES issues if its a better game when it comes to gameplay. I did like the goalie movement and reactions more than PES and the shooting felt pretty good but the rest I would go out on a limb and actually say it felt very similar to PES in some ways. If you change the controller config to what you are used to in PES you could would see that. Oh another thing I thought was cool was how you could do a long dribble or sprint using the right stick.

Im sure if you go on the FIFA boards you will get 9 out of 10 ppl being critical of that game as well. I think any game board you go to you will find major negativity, go look at the MWF3 boards or the NBA2k12 boards, all negative! PES 2012 is good, has issues yes but to avoid it like the plague is a bit of a stretch.
I spent weeks testing and using a global editor to get the gameplay right in PES 2011. It was fine after that and most broken games are savable. I'm just not interesetd in the same work and time commitment this year. And from what I've seen, it'll take just as much work to get PES 2012 to play a half-realistic game of football. When i preordered PES it was £37 from amazon, when it came to delivering it, the price had dropped to £32, so they reimbursed me £5

Surely the point of these forums is to point out the problems with PES. Its a bit of a waste of time talking about all the good things. Thats not going to improve it. So the amount of moaning on any forum has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

That would require us to read every single post made on the forums every single day. There are only a few of us and we have more than one thread to check as well as normal lives/jobs/families to interact with.
This is why we have the report post function. See something you don't like? Report it. That will then point the moderators to the appropriate issue and from there we can decide what to do.
In the instance of this thread, I see no reason to delve back god knows how many pages and read nearly 300 posts, just to pick a name. In this instance, I have issued a general comment. It applies to all. Believe me when I say that the person/persons causing the problems are usually the first to ignore any warnings and usually out themselves.

To be honest Markcross, the game can't just have positive opinions with noone saying the badstuff about it.
Think of it like this Markcross - If you say the game is perfect and easy, then would you want the same game in pes 2013 because it is perfect like you say it is and has no improvements?

Nothing is ever perfect, but there are ways and means of discussing things, but this PES v FIFA debate is not one of them. It is without fail the most counter-productive debate the PES section will ever see. This is after all a PES website first and foremost, there will always be bias, there will always be split opinions. This is what feeds a forum, after all.
The trick is, to be civil and have some respect for others opinions...

Dude, we ain't slagging it off. 1 Person is and he is not saying Pes is crap, he is just saying FIfa is better (OCKRASS). The only reason I'm going in depth is that without going in depth you can't look at the bigger picture and see the actual AI programming. Shaun7 had a point and some were debating over it but that was a few pages ago. Now it is more of a thread were people discuss the bad aspects of the game so if you don't think it has any bad sides to it then go to another thread.

I fear that I can understand some of the 'bitchin', as you so politely put it.
For us vets (not just PESGaming, but PES full stop), were in our heyday during PES 3 through 6, but with the advent on the PS3/360 the game has changed. We never used to care about gameplay, because it was right. We used to complain about editing options and the lousy servers, but the game itself was good.
Now? Well, editing is fantastic, even for consoles, but the gameplay has never returned to its PS1/PS2 greatness. I think a lot of the bitterness has come from feeling let down somewhat. Made worse with FIFA actually getting better.
This of course is just my opinion on the whole thing, as both a long time player and a site member.

I actually agree with you here, nothing wrong with criticism(I love the game but it induces pes rage due to some idiotic flaws) but some people on this forum just can't seem to accept their are people who enjoy and see the good aspects of pes 2012.

your the sad person. playing pes with barce v real madrid and then having 3 good chances in 7mins of pes time which in real time is about 2 mins. How is that real football.
what team in the world has so many clear cut chances that early in the game.
