Pro Evo 5 - Not Worth It At All!

Hi, ive been playing pro evo and iss pro games for years, even when it was on the super nintendo called 'superstar soccer deluxe'.
Pro evo 4 was top, really really good, i got 5 just and found it an absolute let down! the main bad point about it for me was that whenever you recieve a pass the player always takes like a second or 2 to get the ball under control and at his feet, it's like the ball control is really loose. This was the first thing i noticed and how bad it was compared to pro evo 4.
As for everything else well its EXACTLY the same as pro evo 4, for me the only thing that has improved is the speed in which the ball travels, it seems now when you hit a shot you really hit a shot, but from where i'm sitting it seems liked they've done absolutely nothing to make this game improve.
I was dissapointed mainly how everything is the same, stadiums, commentry, boring kits (i know you can edit them but it can take a while), really lame crowd graphics etc.
My opinion is if you have pro evo 4, then just keep updating that e.g player transfers and kit looks, because pro evo 5 is nothing different at all, if not worse.
I'm taking my copy of pro evo 5 back to the shop to get the money back and i'm going to buy fifa06 instead, for the first time since fifa 97, i figure theres no harm in trying it, as this was a total let down, much love to pro evo 4 though! i will still play it no doubt!

Thanks for telling us that, maybe you should of posted it on a FI*A forum if you don't like it.
Apart from its harder and you can't bang goles in from 40 yards....well lets just say its actual realistic unlike the stick football that FI*A has given us then theres nout wrong with it.

pro evo5 is better than any other pro evo by far improved in every way no other footbal game comes close you have to givethe game time to master it and enjoy everything it offers top class gameplay the sweet passing moves you can put togeather all the unmisable goals you can score and much much more.

yeah what the fcuk is that all about.you sign up and for your 1st post you totally put the game down.i dont no if you have noticed but every one on here has love for the pes.when i 1st went on 5 i thought criest this is hard but im dammed if im taking mine back to trade in for that pile o shite.

PRO EVO 5 is absolutly the best PES game ever, its damn realistic and i dont care what other say.I also had to play to-three matches to get used to it,but i always do that so i dont care about that.Its so much beeter than PES 4.for example:the free kicks and absolutly the headings!I mean on Pes 4 you could barely score on a had on the corners.Other improvments are the Goalie,the referee(Well not much but on Pes 4 they were horrible),So Pes 5 is absolutly the best game.The best about all is the online version

having played both FIFa 06 and PRO EVO 5, PRO EVO 5 is the better game by far. It is more realistic and a lot more enjoyable, i found myself getting bored of FIFA 06 after playing just one match. PES 5 takes a bit of time to get used to but is a game that will last until the next one comes out. Shooting and heading on FIFA is poor and the only good thing about it is the commentary and presentation. Whereas PES 5 improves over PES 4 in terms of gameplay, FIFA 06 looks and plays pretty much the same as 05.

After a few more hours playing it i'm a bit ashamed to say that i'm struggling on 3* after being unbeaten for 300+ games on PES4 6*, it's a alot harder because of that foot in tackle thing :( can't get past half the time

Its much better than other PES's. I got it yesterday evening and have been playing it pretty much non-stop! Its taking time to master but im gradually getting there! Ive had quite a lot of draws! been playing most of my games on 3* and it is pretty hard! Im just amazed at how realistic it is! And a mention for the editing! The man utd kit can be made to absolute perfection :D

I do not believe that the game has got harder, it is just a case that we need to get use to it. The gameplay has changed slightly and are mind is still set on the way PES4 works. When I first payed PES4, I thought that it was so much harder than PES3, but as time goes you get use to it.

And anyone who says the game is crap or that it is the same as PES4, really needs to go to a head surgen to get their brain checked!

I'm actually having a hell of a time with PES5.
Had scorelines like 0-0, 1-1, 2-1 and the most I have scored is in a game I won 4-1 all these on 6*. Biggest defeat was 2-0 as I was Real Madrid and lost to Malaga if I remember correctly.
Also, I believe that the CPU AI has actually got better and a bit more unpredictable. Only time will tell :)
And finally, whoever says that PES5 is EXACTLY the same as PES4 obviously doesn't know a shis about football.
PES5 is like 1000 better that PES4 in every possible way.
In general a lot more realistic.

It's an improvement but the gamplay and most animations are too much like PES4's in my opinion, I prefer the demos gamplay.
