Proof That Passing Is Accurate and How You Can Test It Yourself.

First of all, I understand that there is another thread "about passing the ball" but I believe that what I'm about to share with you deserves its own thread. Another thing is that I'm using 1-bar pass support, so anything I say here about passing is specifically about 1-bar passing.

I have read a lot of complaints about PES passing. They say when they pass the ball, it doesn't reach it's intended receiver..that it goes to a different direction...etc. To be honest, I thought they are right..... Well, that was before.

The thing about passing(normal pass) is that when you aim on a direction and you press the "pass button" then it will pass to where you aim it. I'm talking about 1-bar passing since this is the one I'm using. So if the ball went to a different/opposite direction of where you aimed it, chances are that your left stick is really aimed at the direction where the ball went.

I know some will not agree with me on this but I have done a test to prove this.

Unfortunately, this test can only be done on PC since it requires a software. The software is called PS3 Input visualizer and its author is TestSubject06. What this software does is show what key is being pressed on the gamepad and the direction of the analog stick. This software is designed for PS3 controller. I'm using an xbox 360 controller, so every time i press the pass button, the triangle lights up instead of X. You'll understand what I mean when you see the video.

I recorded PES2015 on windowed mode while the PS3 Input visualizer is running.
Here's the the video:

This is in very low resolution(640x480) so I have a bit of hard time playing. The gameplay is in training mode Superstar Level and in 1-bar pass support. I just pass the ball around. Each time I press the pass button, the triangle lights up. Please notice the direction of the Left analog stick when I press the pass button because that is the direction the ball should go. If there is teammate within that range, the ball should go to a teammate. If there is no teammate on the direction of the analog stick then the ball should be pass to an open space.

In the video, each time the ball went to a direction that I didn't intend to, I pause the game so that I can check after the recording if I pressed the direction of the analog stick correctly. And guess what, the analog stick is not pointed to where I thought it was pointed at during the time that I pressed the pass button. The games follows the direction that is being pressed on the gamepad not what I thought I have pressed.

Here are the list of the time in the video where I thought my pass went in a direction that I didn't intend to. I circled the teammate I target my pass to, so that you can compare it to what I actually pressed.

That's it! I didn't test through passes but I believe the direction of the through pass is accurate also. I encourage everyone who have PC version of PES 2015 to test it using the program I mentioned above and post your videos/results.

I hope this helps! I hope this encourage you to try 1-bar pass support and to practice more to improve your passing game.

Enjoy Gaming!:)

*Conspiracy theory here* Maybe people play with higher pass support and the ball goes to their player most of the time, but when it goes in the direction where the stick is being pointed, they feel weird. *theory over* *closes gaping mouth*
