"They can challenge most top teams around the world, but dont beat them if you know what I mean"
What are you talking about? Do you have any idea about football?Or are you talking about cricket? If they dont beat them, how did Benfica beat Liverpool and Manchester last year? How Porto manage to win the Champions League? Wake up, cos' world football is not restricted to your belly button.

yeh and guess what , porto didnt beat arsenal , and benfica didnt beat man utd this year did they. What i was trying to say is that porto , benfica and sporting can beat big teams, but only when they are at the top of their game.

And how do you know if it is the top of their games? Have you watched all of their games ?do you know the potential of all their players so you can set their maximum potential achievement?
You decided that for another team to beat a designated team by you, they have to be at top of their game, let me tell you that when Benfica beat Liverpool last year(home and away) they were not even closer of their best, as I watched 90% of their games and knew they could play better. And Man U were very lucky to win in Portugal, Benfica were all over them. And when they beat Liverpool and Man U last season, still they were not even closer to 50% , to quote Benfica's manager (R.Koeman) when asked after the game at Anfield he said it was easy, even with important players missing.
And following your principle for Man U to beat Benfica or Porto they have to be at the top of their games too!! Go and check Man U away form in Europe. Were Celtic on top of their game? Were Copenhagen top of their game? Dont think so, cos I've seen them playing much better!! Mostly Man U were unlucky and didn't capitalise when the chances came their way. What this shows you, is in Europe any given team at any day can beat another team regardless of being top of their game. A football match involves different factors that contributes to the outcome, not only "top of your game", hence managers summs it up as "rub of the green". How many times a team play well or better than opposition and lose?
Remember Monaco 8 Deportivo 3?
You would think that Monaco was on top of their game?!
If statistics impress you, consider these: Coruña monopolized 60 percent of the ball possession and lost. Monaco and Deportivo both had 14 shots,11-6 on target, and 6-1 corners to Depor.

Seems sigworthy!

I find it "flippin funny" when ppl look at football(and other subjects) based upon assumptions, thus creating a "dogma" that tend to generalise to others.
The exponent of these are the so-called "experts"=jokers in Gillete Soccer Saturday, chatting absolute rubbish.
Ps. Better start a thread about them

Nah,as I said I find it "flippin funny" when ppl look at football(and other subjects) based upon assumptions (and asking you to create players accordingly), thus creating a "dogma" that tend to generalise to others.
