I know it's kinda related, but not so much to pes... Does anone know if the dualshock 2 controllers will be compatible with the PS3 or will I have to fork out on proper ps3 ones if I want multiplayer action?

Thank God those fake images of the boomerang style controllers were... well... fake!

I believe there is a ps2 to ps3 controller adapter available but i would be inclined to keep ps2 with ps2, See the ps3 as a new beginning so to speak, or just carry on with your ps2

yeah i know what you're saying but i've just bought a PS3, I'm not gonna have money for another controller straight away so if there's a way then I'll have to go with it for a while

PS3 system will only accept Bluetooth controllers in this case, the sixaxis ones my friend.

You are wrong, you CAN use a PS2 controller with a PS3 by using a ps2 to ps3 controller adapter, there are a few on the market, loads on e bay....they work perfectly.

indeed mr smith, its a ps2 to usb connection (for pc originally), the ps3 takes it as a ps3 pad charging so accepts its commands. and before someone asks no it doesn't rumble.

I heard that Sony will soon be releasing an official PS1/PS2 Memory Card and Controller Port adapter for the PS3. My guess is it'll be out by the end of this year.

wonder how much theyl charge and why they couldnt have just built it in prolly because of the opportunity to sell as an extra knowing most will want one
