[PS4] Adding back "hidden"/removed players

Very easy to use. The TED Editor is for editing PS4 TEDs on a PC. You can move a team and players in matters of minutes. Bring thousands of new players into the game instead of using Free Agents. Pretty easy to get the hang of after messing around with it. Great tool to create your own custom OF because doesn't matter where teams were created over as in matter of minutes you can change the Team ID and Player IDs and have where you want it. All you need is the decrypter and TED Editor and Excel.
Thats Fab Phillips & Buckshot, Any chance posting the link to the tool? , that would be brilliant mate, and do you know it theres a youtube tutorial on how to use it?

These tools are on Evo-Web forum, you need an account there to see the posts if I'm not wrong.
Here is the .ted editor by SMcCutcheon: https://evo-web.co.uk/threads/pes2020-ted-editor-by-smccutcheon.80590/
And the Panos decryptor tool can be found on the tools thread: https://evo-web.co.uk/threads/★-pes-2020-tools-thread.80608/

I don't know any youtube tutorials about it, but don't worry, it's not hard to use.

Think i might have to invest, Thanks mate
I did 100 something teams yesterday with the TED Editor on a new classic project I a working on........without that TED Editor, I would have done 20 teams or less. I started at new Player ID 23000 and now on ID 25672 - so that was 2671 players I added to the game on those teams.

Well worth it as the time it takes to PS4 edit vs editing on PC is tremendous.

Hi. I just registered here as I wanted to ask for some advice on this subject. I had been using this method to put removed players back into my game (export team, decrypt, change player ID with ted editor, encrypt, import team etc) but having started editing again after a couple of months off I'm finding it no longer works for me.

I now get an error message when trying to import the team - something like 'unable to import team as contains player data that cannot be imported'. I can't work out what the problem is, maybe the most recent data pack? Can any of you guys confirm that the method still works for you to bring back removed players? Thanks

It is a bug created cause of the Live Update of 16/07/2020

Although since you are using external tools, @Buckshot I think has a workaround to solve it. The rest of us who edit on ps4 we have to wait or stay forever like this.

Having watched that video, that makes sense to me now - thanks for explaining. Can't believe Konami have done that.

Is it possible to create a fresh system/edit file without adding the 16/07 live update?

After the last update that that error message started appearing to me as well when I was trying to recover some players and add some new ones (with that method to add players like they were live update players that Buckshot explained somewhere in the forum, can't remember what post now), and I don't even have the latest live update, my game is fine and I don't have that problem with the all players being "live update" players (the last time I did the live update was like 4/5 months ago). I didn't discuss it here earlier because I thought I was the one doing something wrong. I don't know what is causing it, but in my case it happened with 3 or 4 teams, but it was fixed when I picked another ID range and re-saved the ted file in the excel editor. But that was for the "new" "live update" players... As for the "old", previously removed players I don't know how to fix it since you can't just pick another ID, but I think that maybe you can do it if you pick another team, export it and re-do the process (or maybe just change the Team Id in the Excel editor, that might import over a different team and maybe fix it but I have my doubts). If that doesn't work, try to find out if there's any specific player causing the bug (I think you can use 2 teams and put like half of the players on 1 .ted and the other half on the another. then import 1 by 1). I don't really know how to fix it since I don't even know what's causing it.

May I also ask what players are you trying to recover?

It was initially just a couple of obscure South American based players - R. Blackburn and M. Riquelme - but I've since tried the same method with several others, including the most common one Ansu Fati, and none of them are working. I get the same error message no matter which player I try to bring back in.

It would make sense if that the 'live update bug' would affect it, since that means players in the original team you exported could no longer be reset. Like you though, I don't recall having that issue on my edit file but I don't think I ever checked for it. I'm a bit worried Konami may have blocked it somehow in preparation for the season update. Don't know why/how but it's a possible explanation.

I'm going to have another play around today to see if I can make more sense of it.

So I’ve had another test this morning. I created a fresh install offline from the disc. My intention was to try importing a team with removed players on it there but unfortunately the game doesn’t allow you to import unless you apply an update.

So therefore there is no way of definitively confirming the problem is created by data pack 8 but I’m reasonably certain it is. Out of interest I tried again and it still doesn’t work with any ‘old’ removed players at all. I haven’t got the live update bug either so it’s not that. Same error message every time.

My theory is that Konami will be using the same database for the season update, so it’s a paid for data pack basically. They could be stopping you from adding players from the 2021 update to the 2020 version by doing this. Just an idea but I wouldn’t be surprised if they added this block with DP8.

To note also, I’ve seen it said that installing offline from the disc brings back all the old removed players but I can confirm that’s not true. You certainly get most of them but not all. I’m guessing the missing players will be ones added after launch but removed again.

While i do not have any knowledge in the procees you guys describe, i assume that really they messed something with after DP 8.0, ML hotfix, the 1.08.01 game version, cause it was supposed to be a hotfix for players trasforming to DUMMIES due to some corrupted edit data files , which files were firstly corrupted by a KONAMI update possibly, around DP 3.0~4.0. Speaking of the update of 16/07, not the live update, the game update one.

It could be that but it feels to me like something deliberate on Konami’s part. I can still import teams where I’ve just changed stats of free agents etc, it just won’t let me import teams specifically where I’ve changed player ID via the ted editor.

It seems a bit convenient. Konami know that if the 2021 season update uses the same player database as 2020 then the community could import the new players from the update using the ted editor, the same way as bringing back old removed players. It would make paying for the 2021 version pointless as the community could just make the update themselves easily. So maybe they have just quietly put in some code which stops you doing it.

How are you doing it? 1-by-1 (as putting 1 player in a .ted, another one in a different .ted, etc.), or trying to put several players on just one .ted?

The weird thing is that this isn't really blocked, as I recently recovered 5-6 players using this method, unless they block specific players, which don't seem likely, as it would be stupid if someone made teams using those players when they were still avaiable normally inside the game and now they couldn't import those anymore. It has to be a bug or something like that, I don't think it is deliberate. And it doesn't have anything to do with the live update, but could be something with the lastest game updates or data packs since I don't think it happened before (at least not to me, I've recovered like 50 players and nothing happened before, now I was trying to recover 5-6 players and I got the bug a few times even though I eventually got it working somehow). Don't know what is wrong. I might try to get those 2 players you said here and see if it works for me.

Just for confirmation, it's these 2 below on the links below, right?

Yes those were the two players I was talking about, although it happens with any that I try now. I have tried all of the ways you mentioned - 1 player per ted, several players in one ted, different team exports etc.

I have imported these players before using the same method in your original post. And i can still import teams with players in that I have previously brought back, if that makes sense. I just can’t bring back any more.

I see. I will try to see if I can get those 2 players back, then I'll tell you something.

I installed a Hong Kong version of the game on one of my PS4's last night. EVERY SINGLE player is Live Updated in the game including EVERY FAKE PLAYER.....I guess because at a certain point (Before last DLC) I installed the Hong Kong version on other PS4, do not have this ......I installed a few TED files to see if it had any issues and what I installed worked. Plan on installing complete OF on it today, so will see if I have any issues.

Out of interest I just applied the live update to my fresh install seen as I’m just testing things out on it.

Every single player now has the live update flag.
