[PS4] Adding back "hidden"/removed players

Hey!

So, I've been preparing to make my 2nd portuguese league on PES 2020 (PS4), and I've noticed that many "free agent" players that I could find on PESMaster's database weren't on the game (removed on updates?). However, after some time messing around with SMcCutcheon Tool, I think I have found out a way to recover them.

I'm sure that I'm not the first one doing something like this (after all, it was probably with a method like this that we have files for the MyClub Legends and all of that) but I still thought it would be worth discussing this here, just in case anyone has a better method or wants to do the same on their projects.

So, this is what I did:

- Exported a team (I did it with WE United, but should work with other teams as well) and copied it to the PC.
- On PC, I decrypted it with Panos tool (avaiable on Evo-web) and opened it on SMcCutcheon's tool (also avaiable on Evo-web).
- Went to PESMaster website and searched for the player I wanted to add. The one I used to test this was Barnes Osei (https://www.pesmaster.com/b-osei/pes-2020/player/60873/).
- Copied the ID of the player, which you can see on the URL of the PESMaster webpage (in this case, 60873).
- Went back to SMcCutcheon's tool, chose a player from that team, and replace the ID with the ID from B. Osei (60873). Didn't touch name, stats or anything else.
- Saved the .ted, and encrypted it again. Then copied to the USB flash drive.
- Went back to PS4, imported the modified .ted file (ticked the 2nd box, the one that says something about player data). Then, went to the team (WE United in this case), went to the player I modified and pressed triangle to reset it. And here it was, the player with all it's stats, face, details, etc.
- Then I re-imported the original .ted file (the one I exported in the beginning, unmodified). The team (WE United) was back to normal, and the player I wanted to add was now in free agents, ready to be put in any team I wanted.

EDIT: alternative method by Buckshot/Neymarinho:
With this method you have to manually add some players to a team before exporting, but it has the advantage that you don't need to re-import the original team afterwards (like I did on the first method).

- Add some created players or fake/free agent players to a team (as many as the number of "hidden" players you want to add) and then export that team.
- On PC, decrypt it with Panos tool (avaiable on Evo-web) and open it on SMcCutcheon's tool (also avaiable on Evo-web).
- Go to PESMaster website and search for the player you want to add. Copy the ID (you can see it on URL of the PESMaster webpage).
- Go back to SMcCutcheon tool, replace the ID of a fake/created player you added to that team with the ID of the player you want to add. (Repeat for all the players you want to add)
- Save the .ted, encrypt it again and copy it to the USB flash drive.
- Go back to the PS4, import the .ted you just edited (don't forget to tick 2nd box to apply player data).
- Navigate to the team, then reset the player(s) (if it's a created player I don't know if you still have to reset). Then, on the "Transfers" menu, remove the player from the team to send it to free agents, or transfer it to another team if you want. The (formerly) hidden player has been added into the game; the fake player you used to replace the ID will still be in free agents and the team you used will still be on it's original state, since you didn't touch any of it's players (so, no need to re-import the original .ted file).

Those methods seems to work well, but I still haven't tested actually playing in Master League or anything like that. But my guess is that it will be fine.

Anyone has a better or easier method? Or has anyone tried doing this? Any known problems this might cause in game?

Thanks a lot, I hope this can be useful :)

Interesting stuff! People run into this problem a lot. Idk why Konami does this.

I always make sure to use a system data created before applying any datapacks, and that prevents this problem. But if you installed the datapacks first, it would require deleting them (so the whole game) and probably lose all the edit data. And for digital versions you can't even do that, it already comes with the datapack.

Probably they do it to save space or something, or to prevent having too many free agents that few people use.

Yeah I have a digital version. I tried going into another PS account I have, in which I never logged in on PES 2020 before so it had no live updates, and it didn't work, the players weren't there neither, so it must be because of the updates/datapacks. Fortunately, we have an amazing community that develops tools that allow us to do things like this, so it's not too bad ;)

Indeed, i think that more than 250 players disappeared including Ansu-Fati (Barcelona). Why the F... Konami ??????

I keep seeing Ansu Fati disappeared but some say he is in their game. I have him in my game. After DP4, I did a manual Live Update and he's still in my game.

I think I know why some have him and some don't ---I don't update National Teams on Live Updates. Did you update the National Teams during the Live Updates?

You can bring him back with the Player ID like philips_99 explained.

philips_99 are you enjoying SMcCutcheon's tool?

I love it and makes moving teams and players quick (alot better than the old base copy methond). It literally only took a couple minutes to put a Classic Team over Rayong S. Just copy and paste Rayong S Player IDs and change Team ID on the Classic Team and then save TED.....DONE.

Yes, Buckshot, I updated the national team :(
I'm going to try Philips_99's way to bring him back, but i wonder who are the other players who disappeared, specially the ones with scanned faces.
Maybe someone made a list ?

I have yet to try all the functionalities, but yes, the tool is amazing, so far I'm loving it. I have yet to try your method to add new players, but I am going to try it soon to do my 2nd portuguese league project. I also see there are some options related to PES 2019, I got to try them too, there are many players of my project that were on PES 2019 already, it would save me some time. ;)

Btw, I did update the national teams this time (usually I don't), I have yet to see if Ansu-Fati disappeared on my game.
I also think this update changed stats for several players, didn't it?

EDIT: Found this list here with all the changes on stats: http://pesdb.net/pes2020/?page=dlc4-modified-players

I think you can get it back with this method, but I don't know what other players might have disappeared... I'm only using this method to get some specific players I need for my project. But it's possible to make a list, perhaps going to transfermarkt and see what players transfered to teams that aren't in game or something like that.

EDIT: I found this list of transfers, try some players that moved to 'FREE' from here: http://pesdb.net/pes2020/?page=dlc4-transfered-players

No i didn't succeed by myself, i don't know what is wrong with my computer, but thanks to Mantis Junior I got him back !

Good thing you got it back!

But where did you got it wrong? Was it in Excel, or did it give an error importing it to PES?

I've seen some people saying they have problem with older Excel versions, I have Office 365 so mine is updated I guess. Also, I've used his Excel tool for PES 2018 before when I had Office 2016, I don't know if that verison works as well with this new tool, but I'd recommend Office 2019. Is that your case?

Btw, on my game Ansu Fati didn't disappear, he is in the "Free Agents" section, and I did the Live update (updated both clubs and national teams) so I'm not really sure why it disappears for some and not for others.

I used Excel 2013 and i couldn't import Ansu-Fati's ID to replace a fake player from a team i exported. Maybe my excel is too old.
I really don't know why it disappeared for some and not for others, but for sure he was not in my game anymore !

is the SMcCutcheon tool the 2019 version? or did he release a version for 2020?
