I'm currently playing for Sporting de Gijon and put Liverpool as my desired club. At the end of the season, Gijon made me surplus to requirement and I had to choose a different club. I still didn't do it, but I want to know can I get offer from a different club right in the beginning of the next season. For example, I join Sunderland at the end of season 2011-12 and when season 2012-13 begins can I switch clubs immediately?

Maybe at the next transfer window (mid-season-ish). But it's generally a good idea to stay at a club for longer periods. I rarely change clubs until 19-21 years old, and then again at 25 unless I am really unhappy with the club. Even the poorer teams start to perform better the longer you stay, and it's really funny to take a minor club far into the champions league ;)

My experience is that you can change to a new club in every transfer period you want - as long as there are offers
