I've never gotten to play many Be A Legend Matches...but at what point do you get selected to play for your Nat team? I played an entire season (in 09) and never got to play one National team match!

It depends on many things. Firstly how your rating is. If you play well you should be selected for the National. You generally would start off the bench for the National team at first.

Your playing position also is important. If there are many good players for the same position then your chances will be less.

Thnx. Good to know. Does your National team matches come in the middle of your Club Team's season? Is there some sort of National Club Tournament?

There are qualifiers for both the World Cup and Regional Tournament (Euros, Asia Cup etc.). It's set up in groups of 4, you play each team twice and top two qualify. There are 3 games about a quarter of the way through the season then 3 more during the first transfer window.

As Gandalf said, getting called up depends on a few different things, but just FYI I got picked as a sub for the first time in my 4th season. This as a CM competing with Lampard etc. (and Scholes: this is the kind of stuff that annoys me in PES.) As far as I can remember I was picked around the same time in 09 as well.

So do you actually get to play in the "World Cup"?

yeah, if you qualify you will. Qualification's no easy thing though. On my current game my England side finished bottom of a group with Scotland, Serbia and Switzerland, so no guarantees

I was playing for the Italian National team by midway through my first season because of two errors on my part.

1. I put the difficulty on Regular instead of pro and was scoring four goals a game.

2. Somwhow I managed to pick his nationality as Italian instead of Brazillian.

Anyhow, because of the XP, he's now 18 years old and a complete beast of a player.

I'm assuming you guys are playinng on PS3 or 360. Even so, I should hope Be a Legend would have the same features on PS2 as it would next-gen consoles.
