Just reading the latest previews of this game and it sounds like it could be one of the greatest of all time, let alone of next year. Forget the huge world and setting, there's three things that excite me:

1) Random robberies and attacks by gangs of outlaws
2) Random lynchings, which you may or may not intervene in
3) Best of all - animals. Not just horses, but rabbits, wolves, bears, vultures, deer, cattle, bison, wild dogs and snakes (I hear 40 animal types in all), which you can hunt for food and skins. Better yet, they attack each other, and even you. Being ripped apart by a bear or pack of wolves could well be my finest gaming experience.

wow, you sound like such a faggot.

On another note, sounds like something I can get my teeth into now that I have successfully weaned myself off Fallout 3.

You have to admit that killing animals - and indeed being killed by animals - in a game is long overdue.

Being killed by the dogs in Call of Duty: World at War is fucking irritating and I imagine there are other games where animals fight. Did you get animals fighting in Black & White? I only ever played it at a friend's house so can't remember it all that well.

Also, I agree with Jonno's first statement.

Yeah but it's first person in Call of Duty so it doesn't count.

And this still isn't as bad as Jonno's Dreamcast thread whatever way you look at it.

Perhaps you could be a little more informative about this game? I've honestly never heard of it, so is it a brand new game i.e. an original? Who are the developers? Is there a trailer or screenshots for it?

Phatmann: Its a follow up to Red Dead Revolver, Rockstar Games are the developers, its currently due in the first half of 2010 and will be on PS3 and 360 - thread being updated now.

There are lots of other games where you fight animals but probably not as many as 40 different types.

I saw 40 mentioned somewhere, but I'm wondering how they could add that many, unless they throw rats and birds in. Hopefully there will be Crocs.

I assumed people knew about this game, hence no info. Basically it's GTA in the Wild West.

Thought I saw the new trailer for this posted here a few days ago. Seems I imagined it.

Rockstar sure knows how to make good trailers!

Internet is moving slower than an iceberg here, so I can't watch the video, but from what I've read, this is going to be awesome.

The map is bigger than San Andreas apparently.

This looks superb and a fairly original concept, too (at least from what I've played before).

I think I'll keep tabs on this and most likely buy it.

No mention of multiplayer in either of the videos, but I don't imagine games like this are made for MP anyway.
