Resident Evil 6 is heading to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 20, 2012, with a PC release to follow, says Capcom. In it, returning favorites Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield will play co-leads, each leading his own campaign through the US and China, respectively.

I was looking forward to this announcement for the past few days since the first rumblings began, and I was hoping it was a return to the old series stylings of zombies and survival horror rather than Las Plagas and action horror (i suck at action games hence RE5 never got anywhere near completed as I just couldn't be arsed to get better)

I'm so glad they showed the Leon bit's first, I was so excited for this game during those bits, with traditional zombies and a good setting. WHen I saw Chris in China I was thinking "God this is going to be great, Zombies everywhere!!" then I saw variations of Plagas, fighting terrorist mercenaries, BOWs with Machine gun arms etc....why couldn't it just all be like the Leon bits :(

Hmmmmm. I wasn't at all impressed with RE5. Did not like the co-op aspects, I didn't even complete the damn game. Hopefully this will be an improvement. They need to fix the dated controls though - just copy the Dead Space model.

Unfortunately it isn't. The Leon bits look amazing, the chris bits look exactly what I hate.

Just played the demo to Resident Evil: Revelations on my newly re-acquired 3DS, and let me say, this is what a modern Resident Evil should feel like. Keeps all the atmospheric and tense situations and updates the graphics and controls to be something more akin to Resident EVil 4. Allows for either third person or first person aiming as well.(i chose the former)

Awesome demo, will definitely get the full release!!

Seriously, Resident Evil Revelations + headphones = terrifying. Every creaking floorboard, every squeaky door, thunder, growling creature...... the sound is amazing.

I'd implore any one with any interest in Resi to give this a go.

I'm playing Resident Evil 4 for the first time. Amazing game. But playing RE4 has made me realise how RE5 is actually such a bad ripoff or expansion pack of RE4.

Most of the levels look similar in the sequel. Clearly Capcom did a lazy ass job with RE5. Nonetheless, I still loved RE5, but appreciate the survival horror elements better in RE4. The pacing is really good in this game. RE5 took me 5 hours to complete. I'm 12 hours in RE4 and I'm only on chapter 4-3.

I hope RE6 has the inclusion of a co-op campaign, because it was awesome.

Resident Evil 5 is awful imo, hated it with a passion,e specially the shitty forced partner.

It worked well in Resident Evil Zero as you could switch between the two characters on a whim, but Shevas AI sucked massive Chris Redfield sized cock.

I'm not sure. Really liked RE4, but RE5 didn't do it for me. Didn't even bother completing it.

Yep its on the dashboard. And theres quite a few moaning about it due to various gripes!

Yeah.... I wasn't that impressed. The Leon parts were OK-ish, but as for the Chris and Jake levels..... WTF??? That's not Resident Evil!!! It's like they've sold out to try and attract fans of the movies by making it more action-oriented, and it doesn't work IMO.
