Returning PES6 @ Gamestation...

I bought PES6 for myself from the Internet, but having found out it was out on Wednesday, I went to Gamestation and bought the game (a steep £50) so I could enjoy it for a few days in advance (call me stupid, I just couldnt wait!).

When I recieved it in the mail I then planned to take the sealed one back to Gamestation so I could get a refund and I wouldn't be stuck with 2 copies.

BUT, when I took it back and said it was bought for me and didnt want it Gamestation said they only do refunds on damaged or faulty games!

Do you guys think it would work if I took it back again to the store and told them that the game constantly crashes at a certain point? Or is that a bit unbelievable? If you've got any good excuses please feel free to share them!

Thanks

I did the same thing at the High Wycombe Gamnestation store and they took it back no problem.

They told me never to return when I decided to buy FIFA 07 as well lmao.

That's bullshit (from Gamesstation not you)
If its damaged they have to give you a refund if you want one by law.

if you take it to a different shop surley they should ask for a reciept
i would just sell it on ebay or to a friend

Wait Here, Gone for Help
Go to woolworths and say your aunt brought it for your birthday and you already had it. Say you didnt want to ask for the reciept because it would have seemed ungtareful

Well, I took it back, told them it was faulty and that the game was faulty and that it froze at a certain point and asked if I could have a refund...and they come at me with this "we'll need to check the game to make sure it doesnt work properly" bullshit.

So my only option was to give it back in for a lousy credit note. Serves me right for being a little impatient really.

Guess I'm just gonna have to sell the credit note to a friend who wants to buy Splinter Cell, or keep it for myself and maybe get Rainbow Six Vegas when thats out.

Can you return something that's not faulty, for instance because you have changed your mind, or it doesn't look as good as you thought it would? Well, you probably can because most retailers make these kind of offers on a good will basis, because they believe it increases sales. However, in this instance you don't have any rights at all - not to an exchange, refund or credit note. Anything you are offered you should take and think yourself lucky.

from the law of shopping - sale of goods act.
