saving images problem

Hello. How many CHEST logos can be added to the kits in P.E.S. 2014 ( PS3 ) ? I hope it's more than one, but I suspect it's not.

The problem I'm having ( using the in-game editor ) is that I can load an image, edit and save it, and add to the front of the kit ( i.e. chest area ). But when I go to load a SECOND image, or create a second one in "Freedraw", when I'm finisheds it asks " Do you want to overwrite this image? " That is, the previous image that I'd just added. If I choose "yes", then it replaces that first image with the latest one ! Very annoying.

Surely Konami aren't stupid enough to limit the number of chest logos to just one ? We need a bare MINIMUM of two, i.e. for the sponsor and competition logos.

Can you suggest anything, or am I missing something here ?

You can add 600 images, however a lot of people who have used other peoples OF as a base have this issue of it always overwriting the 1st image.

Thanks for replying, Paul. By "other people's option files", do you mean that this wouldn't be a problem if we used yours ? Does the way you make your option files, overcome this issue ?

If not, then how can anyone ever create a FULL kit themselves, by using just the in -game editor ? There would always be a bit missing !

P.S. Why has foreign language appeared on this site ? ( Looks like Dutch or Belgian ). It does make it hard to understand what's what on occasions. Is this site based in Holland or Belgium by any chance ? :erm:

Paul - You said "a lot of other people had this issue with it overwriting the image"....Did any of them tell you if they found a way around it ? And if so, how ?

By other peoples files, I mean one that is not your own that you have edited from default. I haven't seen a solution to this issue anywhere, but I believe Konami are aware of it.

The site is based in the UK, are you seeing posts in foreign languages or the whole site?

Not on the whole site,on parts of it. Some examples : in the menu bar at the top of the page ; Gebruiker CP Arcade Casino Bookie Members Top Posters Nieuwe Posts Zoeken Directe Links Uitloggen

And top right corner ; Welkom, Spectrum

In addition, there are two buttons below the icons named Antwoord Verwerkeen and Voorbeeld van Post, the first of which should be "Post a reply", and I don't know what the other stands for. Any idea what is happening ?

Your language setting have changed somehow, use your browsers translator to translate the page, then click on "My Profile" near the top of the page. On that page select "Edit Options" and the very last setting is the display language setting ;)

Paul - I did what you recommended. Thanks. Problem is now solved. Everything is in English, whereas according to "My Profile" it was set to Holland ( Dutch ) before. Don't know how it got changed to that - I never altered the settings ! Weird.

Only way round it is to create said images on a computer & import them into the game.

No, Rocky, I don't think you understand. I already HAVE PNG images ( emblems, logos e.t.c.) that I have got off the net and loaded into the "saved data utility".

It's after I've loaded an image into the game, and try to place it on the player's chest, that I'm asked "Do you want to overwrite this image" ? I have no choice but to answer "yes", and then this image overwrites ( i.e. removes ) the previous one that I'd placed there, instead of adding to it.

For example, I have a sponsor's logo in the MIDDLE of the chest, and I want to ADD a second logo ( say "adidas" ) to the UPPER LEFT side of the chest. When I do, it REPLACES the one in the middle ! So in effect, you can only actually have ONE logo ( not counting the team emblem, which is separate ) on the chest area. This never happened in previous versions of P.E.S. that I owned.

I could go into "freedraw" and create two separate logos on the same page. Then they should be recognised as one by the computer, and it will allow it ( ? ) to go through. I haven't tried this yet, but this is time consuming, and if you don't get the logo size and positioning exactly right, you'd have to start all over again.

Why can't useless Konami get simple things like this, right ? As Paul said, they know about the issue, so what are they going to do about it then ? :realmad:

Thank God we have option file makers with the tools available to deal with this. But it makes it very difficult and tedious to create YOUR OWN teams using just the in-game editor.

Ahhh, I didn't realise this was the issue you were having. You have never been able to do what you are trying to there. You need to make one image on your PC for the whole shirt ;)

" You need to make one image on your PC for the whole shirt".

Perhaps that's what Rocky5 was referring to ? If so I apologise, Rocky, as it appears that I am the one that didn't understand, ha-ha !

But I'm a novice, so how do I go about making an image/s for the WHOLE SHIRT (? ) on my PC ? Wouldn't I need special graphics tools such as you have ? I find using them fairly daunting. And besides, I don't really want or need to CREATE logos, because as I said, I already have them ready made from the net. I just can't place more than one on the chest with the in -game editor. And if it weren't for Konami making things more difficult than they needed to be, this wouldn't be such a headache.

You said "You have never been able to do what you are trying to there". I'm not sure about that. I had P.E.S. 2009 AND 2010, ( for PS3 ) and I'm pretty certain I remember applying more than one logo to the shirt. And I KNOW it was able to be done in the old PS2 days before that.

Maybe on PS2 mate, but on PS3 at least since PES 2010 it has been this way.

You just need a some kind of software that will allow you to save as a PNG. Photoshop is best (but expensive), there is free software though such as GIMP or Paint.net ;)

Hmmmmm. I might tentatively explore this approach, and download GIMP or Paint.net. Which software is easiest to use, and which do YOU use then, Paul ? How does a newbie to this kind of editing, like me, know what sizes to make the logos and overall kit, to fit the player ? I suppose it's trial and error until you find the correct ones to apply ? And I assume you can import ready made logos into these programs from your PC, and edit them ? :erm:

I'm not the best person to ask mate as I'm rubbish at making kits, I just use ones people post on here & other sites. When I wan't to edit something I use GIMP.

The best advice I can offer is to take a kit made by someone and note the positions of the logos & size of the PNG's, however a lot of it is trial & error.
