Seabass dosent necessarily need to leave, they just need someone/something with fresh ideas.

Who's idea is it to have some of the hideous unlockable's?

I'm sure Sony will sub it to the right software house if they buy it. It does beg the question though if it bombs again - as PES2012 seems to be - under Sony will they scrap the title completely or change the format?

From where do you get the impression PES 12 is going to bomb?
The demo has been largely well received and many old PES fans are calling it a return to form. It will probably sell more than 2011.

Aside from the console wars issue, I think this is great news!!

I think the Wenger analogy was spot on !!

Seabass did wonders in the PS1-2 days, however I don't think he could take us to the next level we are expecting these days!!

He's simply out of ideas and is jaded, not to mention his consistently baffling gameplay decisions. I also hated his inability to achieve sensible balance between releases. I'll reserve judgement until i've tried the final demo though.

People shouldn't be afraid of change.

If it's true, I think Sony could bring a lot of wishes come true Cus of the financial aid, as long as the don't change the editing modes

Seabass is a legend, there will always be part of me that remains pissed off with him and konami for pes 2008,09 and partly 10(I loved 2011 despite some ridiculous flaws), however this guy has shown a true understanding of football time and time again and I have up-most respect for the guy.

I always find some of his design choices strange and at times downright illogical, but pes 2011 showed me he still understands football simulation and I can't wait for pes 2012 which is my most anticipated footy game since the revolutionary pes 3, although I dont expect the same revolution with pes 2012.

Still to this day don't know why he insulted us with pes 2008 though.

Being sold to sony would mean LESS MONEY from the 360 and nintendo players.

I don't think so.

It would mean NO money from 360 and Nintendo players. You've missed the key point here, it is a tactic to draw other console users to Sony and promote PS3 sales. In the scheme of things if that were to succeed it would certainly negate not selling to other gaming markets.

It would force me to buy a ps3 for PES, so from that point of view it would work. Wont happen though, maybe a few years ago but not now.

That's what I meant.

As SDP said, it could work, but it may also fail in sales.

wouldnt be a big loss. Hes been stagnating for some time now. as has already being said, he has brought great games and awful games. Palm him off onto the wii version and give us some fresh blood.

the last few releases have been so random and inconsistent with problem after problem. How long did it take him to solve the problem of lag online? yet it was fine in PES6 then for a good 3 years it sucked.

Its ironic, the birth of next generation gaming killed PES. PES2011 is only £14 now at my Tesco and as frustrating as that game is It seems considerably better than what PES2012 has offered so far.

Seabass is so stupid that as soon he get out it's gonna be better. PES need another vision, something to think bigger. The series has no feedback, they live inside their labs doing always the same game every year and do not upgrade the series.

In time, he knows NOTHING about football, the real football.

I'm sure PES 2011 usually goes for around £7-8 second hand, no real need to buy it first hand unless a certain game needs the online download code, which is just annoying.

I've not played the demo yet - since I'm an Xbox boy. It's worth mentioning that there's no need to get all hot and bothered about the demo though considering it's an early build as they've already mentioned. But of course people prefer to judge first without any real thought behind it - the same reason people overreact to media hype.

Worth noting also that the demo for PES 2011 was most definitely different to the final product.

I'd tell everyone not to get wound up and be patient until the second demo is released before then lodging their negative viewpoints, but of course it'd be a waste of energy to type it up.

Au contraire Thomas, yes the demo isn't the finished article but the gameplay will not be a huge departure from what it is now.

To be honest I'm not really that fussed, I think its age catching up with me, PES just doesn't matter too much to me anymore in terms of video gaming. My previous post was a retrospective analysis of the PES brand.

Of course I'll play PES2012 at some point as my mate will no doubt buy it but I'm not losing sleep over it.

For someone who's not arsed, you seem to talk an awful lot of shit about pes 2012.
