after playing a complete season in master league and winning all the titles I think I must learn a lot more about shooting , I don't know whether the shooting system in pes 2011 is a problem or not but I've seen Messi performing an awful shot on a 1 on 1 situation with an open angle on target also with a good condition and all the great situation for scoring a goal but the shot was oooooohhh way off target and this happened almost 30 times during the season, another problem is when players confronting lofted through balls and crosses they act like a child when they want to hit the ball , any ideas???

I don't find any problem with the shooting. In fact, I love it. I had been playing FIFA11 since it was released and switched to PES recently (had been a PES/WE fan already, FIFA11 first FIFA I got).

anyway, at first I felt the GK were way too good because every shot went straight at them and was blocked.. I probably shot about 12 times straight at him but the other day I scored a load of goals.. just keep playing and you'll start bangin em in

A lot more shot variation needed. Ball physics need to be reinvented to add swerve, spin and various levels of power.

must say i love the shots on pes 2011, reminds me of what it use to be like before the ps3 ruined the platform. I think Konami have got it spot on this time, pes 2012 should be even better

The only aspect of the shooting I have a problem with is the finishing. I've lost count of the amount of simple one-on-ones good strikers have missed online for me. Ive tried placing with R2, tried taping square, but haven't found a consistent solution to it.
Long range shooting is fine. People moan that its very floaty, which it is occasionally, but when you get it right they fly in and its awesome.

The ball is so light... I really don't feel like actually hitting the ball. For example:

When u jump with super mario, u really try to press te button as hard as u can to make him jump ad high as possible.
When closing ur eyes this entire feeling dissapears.

When playing PES I really don't get that feeling of hitting the ball, cuz it kinda lobs or goes with a gay spin to the goal.

The only way I can perform a hard shot is with a lil sprint right b4 it, but finding space for that is hard on top player.

I find it laughable how people claim shooting is great, shooting is completely wrong because the ball usually curves the wrong way, like the player hits it with the outside of the foot even tho he shoots the ball with the inside.

one on ones always go to high even when pressing certain buttons. seems like its pot luck what sort of shot comes off. i tend to just use chip now or go round the keeper.

Agreed. It's like back to PES5, finesse shots aren't worth shit now from close range. I just do the low chip. It's not very popular amongst players at all and they always go like "HOLY SHIT DUDE HOW'D YOU DO THAT :realmad:"

I have the problem that a lot of my one-on-ones go wide, not high. The low chip over the keeper always looks great, but you have to be spot on with your timing.
I think in general, you have to make sure your angle is right, in order to hit a cracking shot. It doesn't take a Ronaldo or a Gerrard to hit a 30 yard screamer.
