I think Figo will end up in Chelsea. Maybe Liverpool (they need him a hell of a lot more!) if Morientes can convince him....

But I don't think Ronaldo is leaving Real. When he leaves he will go back home to Brazil...

figo was linked with man utd, but i dont think they need him really.. they have Giggs and Ronaldo (who ha sbeen in great form recently), it depends on what figo wants.. regular football, or trophies which will decide will make up his mind on where he signs.. if anywhere

United should buy Robinson, de Rossi, Downing and Michael Essien.

Buying all of those and a cheap defender would be fantastic, but realistically, I think it would be more likely that we buy Essien and Downing, plus a less expensive 'keeper than Robinson.

Figo would combine very well with Ronaldo like they did at Euro 2004 in Portugal. They switch wings unnoticeably, and their dribbling and crossing are a sight to behold.

Pity United didn't make Figo part of the deal when they sold Beckham cheap to Real, although at that time Figo didn't wanted to leave Madrid yet.

downing would be a good signing 4 united, but i dont fink hes ready yet, id say leave it a year & get him playin in the boro team 4 an extra year 2 get more experience. i fink a centre midfielder and goalkeeper hav 2 b the priorities. essien looks 2 b the favourite 4 the midfield position

I've never seen this Essien Guy play before, but another option is Gattuso of Milan. For those of you who think he'd never leave Milan for United:

Gattuso rumour today at Teamtalk.com

Gattuso certainly has the bite that Keane has, could be a good long term replacement for the legend. ALthough having said that, I thought that Ferguson won't get much to spend because he bought Rooney last Summer? That deal was planned to be done this summer but they had to do it then because of the interest from Newcastle.

He'd be a brilliant replacement for Keane.

I've only seen Milan a couple of times in the league this season, though every time I have watched him in the Champions League he has stood out as being inredibly committed and dedicated.

It's a very strange time to declare a dream to play for Unites though... days before the second leg.

We need a replacement for Giggs, Scholes and Keane along with a new 'keeper.

Two of de Rossi / Gattusso / Essien, Stewart Downing and a quality 'keeper will go a long way to ensuring we have a squad capable of challenging with Chelski for the title next season.

Coca-Cola league window is still open. It looks like we (Stoke) will be cashing in on Cardiff's misfortune, shame isn't it, by signing Paul Parry and Chris Barker. According to a, ahem, 'Source' there's been a big bid gone in for a "Household name Premiership striker". I won't build my hopes up because sources tend to be well wide of the mark.

In the Summer there will be a massive re-jigging with many players leaving on free's/bosman's and arriving on them too.

Well, for my europe team, Id like Juventus to buy a great OMF, a guy to replace Nedved. Great OMFs are rare today but i really like Aimar and would be a pleasure see him in Juve. Cassano would be a HUGE signing too, a true heir for Del Piero.
For my beloved Corinthians, I hope they buy a good CF, hoepfully Vagner Love. Maybe, if Ronaldo is available, we might even chase him. After all, we are full of money for now. I would like to see Everton, of Borussia Dortmund, come back home and join Corinthians again :)

I think I get the jist of what your trying to say. I don't want that thug at Stoke really, we've got enough and we don't need old jail-bait. He's not what we need, we need a Mark Stein (Legend, best player of my era I've seen play) type player to get goals in regularly and then we might be able to do a Palace and nick that play-off spot.
