When you start Pro Evo Soccer 2014 you should INSTALL the game as it will help the Game run better and smoother and Quicker

It will take roughly 3 minutes to Install the game

If you find it a bit slow then INSTALL the Game which can be found in

Options-System Settings-Install

thx for the hint, I'll definitely do this when I get it! Does it help with the response time and slow downs as well? This is why I was wondering, does buying the digital game from the PSN store the way to go? I would think it would run even smoother if the whole thing is on the HDD right?

Buy the disc and install the game.
It's better to have a physical copy. Digital copies you can't trade or sell.
And there's no guarantee American PSN will have it. It was announced for Europe only.

I learn something new every day. Can this be done with all games on PS3? My laser has had difficulty lately and will only play a disc after the console has warmed up for 10min. This can be frustrating at times. However, never thought of the fact that I could be installing games to avoid this.

All PS3 games have this option, in some cases the install is mandatory, be aware tho, that you still need to insert the disc in the console even if you installed the game before in the HDD.
If you downloaded the full game from PSN store, you don't need to do anything.

I dont see the option to install...
Can you please tell me where is it?
Is it ingame or on ps3 menu?

Normally when put in an game in the PS3 the first time, it will automatically install datas which are often requestet in the game, just to avoid longer loading times.
But still, you need the Disk to run the game.
The one way to install a full game on the Ps3 ist a modified firmware(CFW), but that could create problems with the next genation of game which oftern need a Sony-update.

I didn't know it was only announced for Europe, in any case, I'll probably end up buying the disc but the resale value of old sports games is very bad. If I go sell PES2013 right now I'll probably get like $5 :no:

As far as my other question, does installing the game help with the in game issues such as slow down and respons times?

aha, good reply, thanks. I thought of buying a game to avoid the disc problem, but looks like I will go with download.
