Team With the Lowest Mentality

while playing matches against Manchester United I noticed when I lead the game by 2 or 3 goals the game gets killed and the COM players stop running for the ball and I can just run with the ball with my players past them and they don't try to stop me or make any tackles even if the match is in the 25th minute.
and in every counter attack there is no defenders, as Ferdinand and Vidic are in front trying to score but as a result of that I end up scoring from the counter and the gap gets bigger and the game just dies more and more
