The best Signing/Signings you have got on a free.

I was just wondering who have been the best signing or signings you have got on a free at the end of a season on pro?. For me it has to be Essien, he's brill back up for Gerrard in my ml team.

On PES 4 i got rooney on free probably the best player, however on PES 5 i remember getting C.Ronaldo on a free great signing.

Thats bloody great gettin ronaldo on a free. In my ml he is Shawn-Wright Phillips main rival for the main assist player in my league.

C. Ronaldo in about 4 seasons is probably the best player on the game, alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger of Bayern Munich but he is not on a free transfer. On my game Gerrard plays for Ac Milan and essien has gone to Juventus i think.

Gerrard is immense for my ml team. In my opinion i think he is the best centrel midfielder on pro 5.

Mine is Rooney......fantastic player really......play and make play my team......I put him like AMF and the last season finish like the better Goalscorer with 31 goals.....amazing.....almost he won 2 consecutives Best Player in the league......

I have had Rooney in my ml team since the start. In my champions league this season for me he got 18 goals thats just in that comp which isnt too bad. He always gets me 30 plus goals every season. He is immense.

In WE8 I got Kaka on a free. He got top assist and was like 3rd in goals.

Macbeth is a South African youngster on the game.

I couldn't find him until I was at like 2020, so good luck.

(There is an actual player called Macbeth who plays for SA in real life but this one is different, he was blond spikey hair)

I wouldn't call it a free exactly but Man U wanted to swap my left fullback Elliott (I'm playing as Newcastle) for O'Shea. Elliott was totally crap and soon to retire and O'Shea has better stats can play CB as well as SB. He's just not left footed. And his stats are still improving.

Nice bit of business there.

Don't know if you want to include classic players; but I got Laudrup, Zola & Hierro on a free signings - midway through the first ML season (D2).

i got B.Laudrup on a free - but classic players are always like that. a non classic player i got on a free was Adu - 16 yr old striker, developing curve goes up steeply till he's 25. he's now 22, and ive made an effort to play him every game, and he keeps getting better

He's an American kid who was signed up as a 14 year old a couple of years ago for some American side. At the time he was touted as the next Pele etc etc etc
