Do stats improve slowly in this years version?

Yes, it is definitely slower this year. And while Agility is possible to improve this year, it is really slow. Most typically "natural born" abilities are very hard to improve it seems, while other more technical abilities seems easier.

This is not confirmed knowledge, it is just my impressions after playing a few seasons on several different players.

My current BAL:
Name: Sabatasso
Nation: Argentina
Age: 17
Position: SS
Archetype: Conductor (Evenly focused on passing, dribbling and speed)
Special Abilties: Classic Number 10, Shoulder Feints (Working on speed merchant)

Short description:
Quite small at 1.70m, fairly quick the first few meters but average speed.
He is fairly agile, and his passing and dribbling skills are just above average.
His best ability is his technique.

Season 1.
I became "indispensable" to Catania in the final stage of the season. 16 goals and 13 assists in the debut season is satisfactory, 4th place in Serie A.

Diego Milito is Serie A top scorer with 24 goals for league winners Inter, and I am assist leader with 13.

I am currently torn between going to Atletico Madrid, Tottenham or simply staying with Catania for another season.

Are you sure defence raises body balance more than power? if so, that sucks for my CF :(

It's equal!

I had 6 power in training and it was raising very slowly... I tried putting 6 power and 6 defense and it started growing at a good pace...

Balance= Power+ Defense
The max is 12 (6+6).

I made my player a CF a finisher or shooter (can't remember the name). Started with 63 average. Just finished 1st season with Roda JC scoring 22 goals thanks to my +- 85 shooting skills. I learned that you can't dribble that much and started working on speed. In the Transfer period Several teams came but no really big names except Aston at the ending, i was doubting but chose them eventually. Now with them i dont have a starting place. And the coach just changed the formation to 4-5-1 hope that he wont stay to it. I scored 3 times for them orso. I am now 73 average. I also got called up for Ghana and i am scoring frequently made 7 goals in 5 matches.

Made myself as a powerful side midfielder. Also made myself Irish to give more more international chances :D Signed for Stoke and despite doing very well in training matches I never got picked. Then all of a sudden I got an Ireland call up. Did well in that one then got selected for Stoke, got an assist but then got dropped. Played in all 6 Euro qualifiers for Ireland then played the first game of the season for Stoke. Scored and got dropped. Got an offer from Unirea Uziceni so joined them. Straight in to the first team and Ive scored 6 goals in 12 games and got 3 assists. Ive got 2 goals and 2 assists in 10 games for Ireland. Good career so far. Having the long ranger star has helped me score a couple of screamers aswell :D

Ive got it as something like this;

Shooting -
Attack
Shot Acc
Shot Pow
Shot Tech
FK Acc
Swerve
Heading Acc

Pass -
Short pass Acc
Short pass Spd
Long pass Acc
Long Pass Spd
Freekick Acc
Swerve
Technique

Dribbling -
Dribble Acc
Dribble Spd
Technique

Defence -
Defence
Body Balance
Jump (slightly) - Maybe a taller player would have improved this stat.

Speed
Top Speed (very slightly)
Accel (very slightly)
Response (slightly)
Agility (slightly)
Drib Acc (slightly)
Drib Spd (slightly)

Power -
Body Balance (slightly)
Short Pass Speed
Long Pass Speed
Shot Power

Stamina -
Stamina

Thanx, I've been looking everywhere for something like this. So is this like the exact stat allocation or just roughly. After I created a CF Allrounder with 80 !!!! overall (Here's how I got it- Shooting 5 / Passing 1 / Dribbling 3/ Defense 0 / Speed 3/ Power 2/ Stamina 0) the only thing was Jump was at 71 compared to the other important stat which were pretty high.

So whats the best way to increase Jump after you created your player? Defense and Power training? Or does it increase with matches on its own or if you score from crosses?

Also I found that putting at least 1 point in pass or defense generally increases your Mentality in character creation, so when you get a yellow aggression stat your mentality would now be a High green or low yellow stat. Also putting 6 in shooting is ok but it tends to take away points from stats such as technique and response in favor of high shooting stats which you can increase later, so I say 5 is good and allows you to put a point in pass or extra in dribbling which really changes your stats. Ofcoarse this is all considering your creating a CF All-rounder. You can also get skill cards such as slide tackle, one touch-pay, and different dribbling skills, depending on how you allocated your stats.

BAL keeps getting better and better every year. Though this year there are some extremely annoying bugs like the formation and the manager playing you out of position bugs. It's the only mode I've played since it was first introduced!
I'm glad they finally did something with the money but I feel a little copped out because it's JUST one thing we can do with it.

Hey guys! Here's my story;

Usually I play on ''top player'' difficulty, but this time i decided to try the ''proffesional'', just to save myself a few frustrated tantrums regarding the super fast/strong defenders and such:p

My first impressions were pretty good ... the game doesn't seem all that easier, but i can definitely feel a more relaxed and fair gameplay (the only thing suffering was my pride, knowing there's a tougher level than the one i'm playing:p)

Anyhow, i've decided to create a german CMF called KING;
Choosing a balanced archetype, yet focusing my points mostly on passing, i managed to create a fairly decent passer (around 85 all passing stats) without overly sacrificing other stats. The end result was a 68 overall player, with ''enforcer'' as his special trait.

Immediately i got chosen by AS SAINT-ETIENNE with a starting salary of 50. 000€, and the game took off.

Much to my enjoyment, i started my debut nearly flawlessly by scoring the first and winning goal from outside the box (around 70 shot acc.) and the following matches went pretty solid as well.. Somewhere during the half of the season, Germany called me up for a friendly match, where i've quickly established myself as one of the better players.

Finished the first season with an average rating of 7.0 and got some pretty decent offers from teams (including Arsenal and man. city both offering around 200.000€), however, hoping i could squeeze more from the situation i waited a bit longer and was rewarded with a sensational offer from Bordeaux, who offered a staggering 454.500€ to join their ranks in the next season! Needless to say, the offer was accepted, and i've started the second season alongside Gourcuff and Gerrard -making my breakthrough as a CMF a bit more difficult, yet i manage to keep a solid rating around 6.7/8 during the first few matches.

We're currently 1st in the league 1 and most probably through to the knock-out stage in the CL, managing to defeat AC Milan 2:1

Also, does anyone know what use are the other, more expensive agents? (apart from the ability to supplying better offers)

Hey guys heres my BAL to date created an irish striker named O'Hora started out with 74 overall and signed for Napoli scored 14 goals in my 1st season which thought was good considering how defense minded we were(anyone else notice that when playing in serie a?) Anyway made my irish debut after xmas that year in an embarrassin draw with thailand but broke my international duck with a famous 2 -1 win against Brazil! That summer scored 7 in 6 euro qualifiers as we topped our group to qualify for 1st time since 88 the nation went mad:)
Anyway that summer i signed for Ath. Madrid and immediately formed a partnership with aguero! An impressive unbeaten start to the season saw us top unbeaten and no goals conceded til xmas in both CL copa del rey and La liga but after xmas a tinkering manager and scripting ended our challenge with 8 straight defeats! We ended up 3rd 14 points off the title but with 27 league goals and 6 in Cl it was a successful season!
That summer i became a feared and wanted striker as little old ireland were crowned euro champs with me top scoring with 7 and winning all the titles scorer assist etc! Offers have flooded in but im remainin loyal to Madrid! Just embarked my 3rd season 4 games in 2 goals and been named CL striker of the year! Im expectin big things this year so more to follow:)

If you press select when looking at the different agents available, you will find a menu with the information stating how the different stats affect BAL.

I started as a winger forward for Birmingham, played for 2 sessions and soon was called up for England.

Signed for Newcastle in the mid season attracted by the huge pay check as i wanted to hire a better agent. However, I was shocked just a season when Newcastle did not offer me a contract the following year. No club except AZ came knocking on my door. Signed with them a 2 years deal and won the Edv league in the first year. My team players came to me to acknowledge my influence and indicate their strong count on me...(proud..keke)

AZ made me their captain and extended my contract the following year and increase my pay check... = )

Now, I am 20 years old, rating 76 and proud captain of AZ....however, still waiting for a big club....

BAL - My view

Sorry, but I'm not here to debate if PES 2011 BAL is the best, or without bugs. Or for the matter if FIFA Be A Pro is better or not. I'm just sharing my view.

Comparing the past, this year 2011 BAL is really great for me, at least for me :)

Training Match

The boring training match between own teammates on the quiet training ground was do away this year. Gosh...it really put me to sleep at times. his year in place was "friendly" matches between other continent teams in the stadium. This certainly makes it more interesting for new players like us to get notice by the manager. Of course, you can choose to skip it.

New Positions

I know many don't really like to wait and get train for new positions when needed, due to the formation change bugs many encounter. However, I thought it was in truth a reality where players may be at times told to adjust to new positions. This of course take time to be trained. Maybe it was just me, but I had seriously never encounter the formation bug till date. I have played one and half season (40 matches) with AZ and till date, the team had hardly change their formation. Only on few occasions I was deploy on the right wing instead of left, which I thought was fair, since I'm two footed. Just my honest view here.

Contract
I hate last year contract system, where contract was renewed only yearly. This year, we will be given straight 2 or 3 years contract at one time. This is certainly more realistic.

Assets
I know this is really nothing great, but it was really satisfying to see my assets growing in thousands and then millions, based on my growing annual salary...:D

Recognition
It was really great when end of the season, one of your star players of the team come to you and state your growing importance to the team. I feel like a star...LOL

Gameplay
Now, of course this is the most important. I know there are many claimed flaws or bugs here and there. But end of the day, I must really said that this end gameplay was certainly more realistic (as per my own playing experience till date). Why? Last year, I kind of enable to exploit a weakness of the game by constantly dribble down the byeline outrun defenders before finally cut in to either lay a simple cross/pass to the middle for someone to shoot or tap in a goal, or attempt a shoot on goals. Playing in Professional level, I was averaging almost 40 assists and 30 goals a season. To me, this is too unreal.

This year, the figures were more realistic. Still on Professional level, and with AZ, we won the league with me making 18 assists and 16 goals overall (I was only 19 yrs old, and rating 73). I can't cut in like last year as i wished now, only on some occasions. Now I can only cross in or sometime cut in to unleash a shoot on goal. At times, I can be close down and lose possession. I need to really depend on making quick passes, find space to run into etc.

Good to Have for 2012
I wish things can be included are like:

Personal endorsement as our playing reputation grow. more money means better agent, better team to play for....

Buddies or foes in the team - how often we read in the newspaper where players show their dislike against each other. This goes for the same between managers and players...like SAF and Roo...hehe...

Character - we have playing characteristic to choose like speed demon or playmaker, how about off field characters like media darlings or party boy? hehe

Overall
As i said before, i don't say this game is without flaws or bugs, but i really enjoy it alot. Like some said, its just a game. :D

Well, I had the formations problem when I played at Calcio Catania my first three seasons but I'm in my second season at Bayern München and the manager has never changed the formation. It was refreshing since I was expecting it to happen.

Yeag chickenzip i like the endorsement and character idea! Maybe they could elaborate on them like have a boot deal, say you start off with konamis default boots and the better you play you get a deal! With regards your character wouldnt it be nice to do interviews after or before big games and say if you diss your next opponent they boo ya or if you return to a former club depending on your status there i.e. crowd favourite or badboy the crowd reacts appropiately!

yap Swanaldiniho, you hit the nail head. return as either a former hero or deflector status...wow...cool!

due to OF issue, i have to sadly re-create my BAL yesterday...now freshman in Aston Villa, just got my first sub-role not until 6 months later, enter the match in 70 mins for Carew against Blackburn and broke the deadlock from a through ball assist by Petrov. i was jumping like a kid... = P

After the whistle, Frediel came to me in the dresroom and told me to keep going...nice... = )

I started at potters and played for a season learnt to play AMF and CF (started as SS) and mainly worked on stamina to stay on longer in games!and shooting scored quite afew goals but then at the end of the season it seemed to get harder to score and my team mates seemed to get worse
so i moved for slightly less money to a french team since then im the leading scorer, and the managers top CF SS AMF the game seems to play much better the football seems better too, nice passing , my passing has improve 100%
will stay here to improve loads as the main man then, look for a return to another league!!
