It is happening again
Easy, just like any other ML.
I bought Lescott and Burdiso at the age of 16,quick enough i sold Burdiso coz he didn't advance much,and Lescott playing maybe 9th season in the club he's 86 and ferdinand's in 4th season and he's grade's 87,so he's better..now i'm buying some players from second retirement becose ATM i'm in 2024/25 season,and i got my eye on Nedved,Scholes,Roben,Rui Costa and O.KahnDamn [MENTION=228764]tartek[/MENTION] that team is insane. I couldn't play with it
And I wouldn't be able to play with the default faces and hairs from the classics as well, that Ronaldo is absolute shit.
Just for curiosity, which season are you playing atm, when did Lescott retired, and from Ferdiannd vs Lescott, which is better?

As first or second regens? Even if they retired as early as possible it would be 10 years since then, I don't believe they will retire again at the age of 26...
About the CBs, thanks for the info. I never really liked Ferdinand, but he does seem better. Either way I don't need him atm.
I'm entering now in '25/26 season,but on the start of ML i bought with my desposal money 3 players,i had like 70-80M in euros,ther's a many options u can buy one awesome player or u can buy 3 extra players,as i recall Zidane's worth was around 70M,and i got few saves wher i experimented,and for current team that i'm playing the most of time also and strongest,my initial investition was in 3 players 1.Shevchenko, Nedved and Cannavaro,i'm playin'in Spanish Primera,also manage representation of england currently,broke the contract with Argentina..No second my bad it's first retirement for these cllasic players,yes i have very poweful team but on Pes 2006 ML was something crazy and i lost (deleted that save game,started with Chelsea,had players like Maradona,Pele,Croyf,Ronney was my midfielder,also C.Ronaldo..nevermind.I have goal of making even stronger team where my CB will be Gerard&Mascerano,LB C.Ronaldo and so on :O :w00t

edit/and yes I allmost every game changing CF on half time,so they can flourish faster,but i had a season with out flourising a single player,and they all go up one grade from training,and i very often changing training routine the most of players are in speed physic mod and few are in defense or shooting passing dribling

After finally editing everything, I started my ML a week or so ago.
Started as Blackburn, as I wanted a challenge and it was a good side to 're-shape' the team and bring a few new faces in.
I've brought in - Magnusson, Blackett, Dummett, Tielemans, Leandrinho, M. Phillips, Naismith and some South American kid called Salas is in on-loan.
Starting line-up, is usually (4-4-2 custom - quite attacking) - Steele, Evans, Duffy, Blackett, Dummett, Leandrinho, Tielemans, Lowe (CPT), Conway, Naismith, Gestede.
Started the season off quite well and was sitting second behind Wigan. I then got thumped 4-1 at home by struggling Millwall going into the January Transfer window. That's when I brought in Dummett, Phillips and Magnusson. After that, I struggled and only got 1 win in 6.
That saw us slip out the Play-Off places and to be honest, we were playing awful. One epic game in that run saw us lose 3-2 at Sheffield Wednesday, 3-0 down after 60 minutes, then we scored 2 quick goals and battered them for the last 15 minutes but they held on.
Last night, with a very tricky run coming up against Reading, Norwich & Middlesbrough (all teams above us in the table), I made a few changes and tweaked the tactics. We beat Reading 1-0, then scraped another 1-0 against Norwich who dominated us, before going to Middlesbrough. They went 2-0 up very early but we came back and two wonderfully taken Gestede headers got us a point. So we are now back in the Play-Off positions, with about 12-13 games to go. Automatic promotion looks a slim chance as Wigan and Charlton have pulled clear, with Norwich being the real threat to them two. Just like real life thought, the table is very tight and below us, about 5-6 teams are within 3-5 points of the Play-Off zone.
Gestede is mine - and the League's - highest scorer with 20, he is a monster in the air. Tielemans is starting to settle after a poor start and is developing into a class act. M. Phillips already looks a waste of £2million, he's been woeful since his move. At the back, Blackett is class at this level and Duffy has been the surprise package, ousting Grant Hanley.
I am hoping to secure a spot in the Play-Offs but I don't think this team would be able to compete in the Prem. We played Man Utd in the FA Cup, at home, and lost 3-0, they ripped us to shreds within the first 25 minutes then took their foot off the gas.
Going forward, I think I need competition for the right-back spot, a big, brutal enforcer in the middle of the park, some more flair down the flanks and possibly another Striker (Rhodes is up for sale, gave him a number of chances and he's been terrible). I also want to sign 3-4 16/17 year old players to gradually develop into the side.
Enjoying it though, bloody tough League. My aim is to make this a long lasting Career as I'd like to spend a few years in England, then maybe try my luck in Spain or Italy before then trying to conquer South America. I'll then probably have a dabble in the J-League and try to win that before returning to England for one last job.

Well 6 seasons into my previous ML, Tielmans was rated at about 86/87, so if Bergwijn gets that good I'll be happy.
Does anybody else have duplicate players appear in Master League? I'm not sure whether it's the option file I have installed or if they're already there. Under advanced search I just looked at all players, which was around 13,100, sorted them into alphabetical order, and within the first 200 players in the list there was at least 10 duplicated players.

First, what's your platform?
Some OFs correct these issue, completely or partially, others don't. But I'd say to completely delete/change every duplicate is a very hard task. So yes, it is normal.

I noticed there were two Rafael Marquez regens in my ML, so I checked the whole database and realized he was one of many duplicates - far too many to correct myself.

I can't really comment about that version of the game nor the patches available for it, but I do remember having two Rafas in my Porto ML, and it bugged me even more because I had one of them in my team and there was another one around in the game. Plus they were different, one was faster and the other more physical. Just Konami things.
On the duplicate players thing - I did a hell of a lot of editing (basically went through the whole database). There are a fair number of duplicate players who are at 2 club sides in the game. There are also a good number of duplicate players that are in ML when you start in the 'others' section, that can't be edited. I made a massive list and as I was going down it, quite a few of the duplicated players from places like Qatar, Saudi Arabia etc..., don't show in edit mode.
Back to my save and I got promoted via the play-offs. 94th minute winner to beat Norwich 2-1 in the Final.
I went through the Summer Window and then went into the Market and couldn't believe how many 'regens' there are, near on a 1000!! So I signed a few of them - Coulibaly, Montano, Dunne, Milito and Handanovic. Also got Ibe on a free transfer and signed some beast called S. Meite off some French side.
Lost my first League game 1-0 at Hull, hell of a difference making the step up. Going to have to tweak my tactics I think!!
