The Master League Experiences Thread

I don't think I can be bothered doing a proper ML again. Might just do a season or 2 with a South American, and Asian club, just to get the trophies.

I understand. This will be my first "real" ML after the trial with Pescara and one and a half seasons of spanish football.

Can you upload you Master League file (ML00000)?

ML0000 is my current Porto ML
ML0001 is my first Pescara ML (you might like this one)
ML0002 is my previous Real Madrid ML

Ok guys. I found a bug.

In one of my previous posts I mentioned how I like using advanced shooting and manual passing as a combo. Advanced shooting to have contro, over which corner to shoot for and manual passing for tap ins.

Here's the thing, if you score a goal via manual passing tap in, the game does not register the assister as having given an assist. So if Gotze passes to Lucas Moura and Moura hits a simple manual pass tap in, Gotze will not be credited with Having given an assist. Moura will be taken to have scored a solo goal.

Weird.

Willocrew - Yeah, I can see why the game does that. Obviously the game just counts it as a pass, not a shot. I bet if you checked the stats, it doesn't even count as a shot on target. So I wouldn't call it a "bug" as such, more along the lines that the code doesn't account for it.

What about Chipped through balls, every month i get the stat of 0/0 . Its L1 and triangle aint it.

No idea, but probably yes. I don't see Konami being that perfectionist.

Yes it is (if you use the classic PES controls). How do you get 0/0?

Im using manual passing, i try about 3 or 4 chipped through balls a match but get monthly stats always 0 attempted 0 successful. Mental

If you play Argentina league in ML how many matches do you play. Is it organised into 2 zones like the real thing.

sove - do you mean exhibition matches?
scottw2307 - if it's anything like last year, they split the seasons into 2 parts, but not 2 zones. Being an Argentinian team is a pain if you stay in all the cup competitions. Over 70 matches a season!

Wont be playing that then far too many games. I dont get enough time to play PES due to work, kids, wife etc as it is. Infact id like Konami to include a smaller league say 12-16 teams so less than a 30 game season, like Russian, Sweden, Belgian , Scottish league. As long asthey have a D2 as well.
How does ML work if you become an International manager. Can you play as a club at the same time. Is it any good.

Pfffffffft, you need to get your priorities straight. :folarm:

Yes, you can be the manager of a club and international team at the same time. For me though, it's just a bit of a nuisance. I don't bother with the international matches, just skip them. I wish they'd just get rid of the feature completely, because all it does is drain your players fitness levels for weeks.

However, I have found that it's useful for that international break that occurs TWO FUCKING DAYS before the CL quarter final. I had quite a few Brazilian players in my team, and became manager of Brazil. I dropped my club players from the international team for the fixtures before the CL qf, to ensure they'd be fully fit. :boss:

Oh, I'm not sure. If you save your master league squad data, you can select it in exhibition matches by scrolling all the way down to the bottom, past the PEU league teams etc. I don't know if the same will work for free training, but I imagine it would work in the same way.

Hey guys! I was doing some catch up reading on this thread and I think I was inspired by rebelinho to do a similar Master League campaign. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's playing an all Portugese players in FC Porto. I thought it was a great idea since playing ML with the original club lineup can get a little boring over time when you have 99 TS and World Class players in your starting XI.

So I figured I will pick up where he left off with Real Madrid, offloading non Spanish players and bringing in local ones. It was painful as I had to offload Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez =( Nevertheless, to stay true to the challenge, it had to be done. In the end, only Varane and Kroos were the only non Spanish players remaining in the squad as surprisingly there were no buyers =/

Lineup:

GK:
David de Gea (traded Pepe with Manchester United)
Kiko Casilla

RB:
Dani Carvajal
Hector Bellerin (traded Danilo with Arsenal)

LB:
Jordi Alba (splashed out cash)
J. L. Gaya (traded Marcelo with Valencia CF)

CD:
Sergio Ramos
Raphael Varane
Nacho
Inigo Martinez (paid in full)

DM:
Javi Martinez (traded James Rodriguez with Bayern Munich)
Javi Garcia (traded Mateo Kovacic with Zenit)

CM:
Toni Kroos
Isco
Dani Ceballos (paid in full)
Thiago Alacantara (traded Luka Modric with Bayern Munich)

RW:
Iker Muniain (traded with Denis Cheryshev with Athletic Bilbao)
Lucas Vasquez

LW:
Jese
Balde Keita (paid in full)

ST:
Alvaro Morata (trade Karim Benzema with Juventus)
Paco Alcacer (paid in full)

Sold CR7 and Gareth Bale but can't recall to which teams. However, I do know that this challenge is rather intriguing as almost the entire starting lineup is brand new and there's the Team Spirit to bring up hahaha the downside though is that there will be limited Spanish players to upgrade the squad, considering I have acquired most of the highly rated players. Oh well, it's my headache =)

On another note, I do have a ML with default players (Coutinho, Arcas etc) with Middlesbrough. As I am fully concentrating on the Spanish project, that'll have to wait hahaha

Which brings me to yet another "project" in embarking on a similar challenge. Since it's all Spanish team now, why not an all Italian team too? But why stop there? How about an all French team? Not forgetting an all Brazilian team! Or even an all English team =) Call me crazy but I love the challange it brings, not quite like the transfer policy of Athletic Bilbao but yeah the limitations are there hahaha

In fact, I have drafted which players to acquire for the Italian, French and Brazilian teams. I must say that the Brazilians are limited in supply (I will not enable Legends in any of my Master League campaigns) You'll get many attackers for sure, it's when you're deciding on your defence which will be a real headache heh

Lastly, here's my all English team with Manchester United

GK:
Joe Hart (trade David de Gea with Manchester City)
Jack Butland (paid in full)

RB:
Nathaniel Clyne (traded Matteo Darmian with Liverpool)
Calum Chambers (paid in full)

LB:
Leighton Baines (traded Morgan Schneiderlin, I think, with Everton)
Luke Shaw

CD: pretty much well stocked here
Chris Smalling
Phil Jones
John Stones (paid in full)
Paddy McNair (I know, he's not English, but the flag he's representing bears a resemblance to England =P)

DM:
Michael Carrick
Jordan Henderson (paid in full) *this guy plays much better in DM compared to CM
Ruben Loftus-Cheek (paid in full)

CM:
Jack Wilshere (traded Ander Herrera with Arsenal)
Ross Barkley (traded Adnan Januzaj with Everton)
Will Hughes (paid in full)
Nick Powell

RW:
Raheem Sterling (traded Juan Mata with Manchester City)
Jesse Lingard
Ashley Young (will be sold to pump more cash into the transfer kitty)

LW:
Danny Welbeck (traded Memphis Depay with Arsenal) Home boy comes home!
Jordan Ibe (paid in full)

ST:
Wayne Rooney
James Wilson

Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia and maybe a couple more players that I have forgotten to mention were all sold to raise funds. Even so, when I started the season, the team was in debt by about 15 Million Pounds I think? But it's okay, since the team made it through the UCL Qualifying round so that'll make 3 Million per match for 6 matches and then there's the Premier League of about 1 Million per match. It's just a matter of time before debt is clear =)

I'm still deciding if I should allow myself to include Welsh players (Gareth Bale & Aaron Ramsey springs into mind heh) as Danny Welbeck has been poor on the left side (true, he's a striker but he has Prolific Winger card though. Either sell him or try to trade him with Gareth Bale =P)

In my 4th season with Man City.

Season 1 - Finished 2nd in the premier league.
Season 2 - Finished 4th in the premier league, won FA Cup and Champions League.
Season 3 - Won premier league, FA Cup and Charity Shield.

Starting Lineup:

------------------------ Neuer -------------------

Bellerin --- Walker --- Pogba --- Bale --- Alaba

---- De Bruyne --------------- Lucas Moura ----

--------------------- Messi -----------------------

----------- Neymar ---------- Ronaldo ----------

Bench: Courtois, Muller, Son, Sterling, Chamberlain, Shaw, Clyne

Reserves: Walcott, Martial, Barkley, Depay, Stones, Maicon, J Boateng

I know it's a bit of an unorthodox defence but when I had Ramos and Varane in central defence I was leaking goals all over the place. It was literally a case of scoring one more goal than the opponent in every match.
