Don't you find the games boring

Sometimes. If I do I just close the game. It usually is a sympton of too many games in a row (5 or more).

and the opposition rubbish

Yes, 50% of the domestic games.

There are teams that may play "poorly", but more often than not it just feels realistic. They misplace passes, try long balls after the 60 mins, and pressure more tightly as the game draws to a close. They defend more or less well most times, but there are games where you just destroy them easily.

Other teams, like Rio Ave (2.5 stars) are just... impossible. They keep the ball better than Barça (literally), passing around the back and midfield with such ease that's unbearable. You can't intercept a pass. You can't tackle them because they'll pass the ball if you get within 3 meters of them. Only way to regain possession is to defend way deeper, wait for them, and then they'll become stupid and almost give you the ball.

The second to last type of team. The combination of the above. Only happens in rare cases, and it's not a coherent occurrence. They'll pass like Barça, attack like Real and defend like Atletico. You can't stop them. Just had (5 mins ago) a game like that vs Vitória Sport Club. Won 1-0 with a dribbling run (using Bernardo Silva) around the 89' mark. It was hell. They have a 60 rated winger named Ricardo, 188 cm, that's unstoppable.

At last, derby matches. What the fuck Konami. Played vs Sporting (I'm Porto, i.e. it was a derby) just before the Vitória match I mentioned above. I... it's useless. They score goals like it's nothing. Your players get worse (slower, weaker) and dumber, while their players are superhuman (Quaresma has 99 on Speed and Acceleration; a CB with 68~70 in speed overtakes him): lightning fast reflexes, intelligence, pressure like mad, powerful shots with no preparation, dribles were they float around, and so on.

This could have been the perfect PES, gameplay wise, if they didn't fuck up the AI so much. As far as we can control, it is awesome. It's the things out of our reach they fucked up.

But hey!, don't get me wrong. I still love this game, and it's still the best football game to date.

It's amazing how the AI will pick one random lower rated team to destroy your game I'm currently with Lyon Ligue 1 and Montpellier have absolutely skinned me alive again and again as no other team has on the league or Europe it's just like u said attack defence on another level and the striker mid rated aging Bojan is unstoppable in the air dribbling thru my entire defence or a long range volley absolutely heartbreaking but agree still the best football game for all it's hiccups

tosser182 - the highest difficulty.
alainblue - I don't really have a bogey team in this game, but in PES 2015 it was defintely Hull City. Sodding Abel Hernandez used to bully my defenders and rip me to pieces.

@ Reb. If you've completed a full season what did your stats look like. I've only lost 1 in 17 on Superstar despite not playing that well, so I'm worried about the longevity

I have pics for:

2018/2019

and 2019/2020

2017/2018 was similar to 2019/2020, almost no losses. Not sure why I tend to concede more goals and lose more games every other season. Since season 2 (2016/2017) winning ratios must be around 85 wins/100 games.

hi guys
I have a stat question. Does anyone know whats the difference between jump and header?

Jump = how high the player can jump off the ground.
Header = how well/accurately the player can head the ball.

In Master League, with regards to training, you improve heading with the 'Shooting' training option. 'Physical' improves the jump attribute.

James Rodriguez is a great player, still developing at your stage in the game as well??

Berardi is an unusual one. I had shortlisted him as one of the main players I wanted to sign at the start of my current ML but when I signed him up I was massively disappointed. His size for one makes him very top heavy, almost Peter Crouch like! His dribbling left a lot to be desired and his shooting wasn't all that ether...all in all a very overrated player in my opinion.

Yep, still has a couple of years left developing, judging by the chart. He's already at 92.

I also signed Morata, and sold Douglas Coutinho. So, what started as a project to sign talented (mainly) South American players and develop them, has pretty much turned into a Galacticos side full of overpaid mercenaries....... in the space of 2 transfer windows.

Probably already picked up but Paco Alcacer absolute legend and seems better with age 31 this season even though in decline cannot not stop scoring with this fella solid performer goodish header not the best in aerials and knock downs against big defenders but wouldn't trade him for anything

Neymar
James
Berardi
Morata

Although I've never done so myself, sell my precious players for big stars :hmm: Maybe I shouldn't be encouraging you. I'll stick to my portuguese fellas plus the occasional spaniard/brazilian to fill in the gaps. Even if that implies having players in the NTs. Btw how do you cope with that?

Exactly what I thought of Morata in my brief Real Madrid spell. Too quick to be a good target man, too tall for a more mobile striker. That's why I boought....

My experience with him as well. His Jump is terrible, Heading even worse, but he just feels composed in everything.

Well I haven't come up against an international fixture yet, but yeah.... it'll definitely be a challenge.

Just noticed the called up players need 3 games (over 10 days) to fully recover from the NT massacre. This game is broken as shit.

And this brings me to my biggest complaint with ML. You have 31 players in your squad. It's November. You want to get business done early, so you accept an offer you received for a, let's say, centre back, buy another and then go for a brand new world class winger (just adding quality). This all adds up as 31 -1 +1 +1 = 32 right? No. Because when you sold the first CB the game says he's still yours (makes sense, he won't leave till January), but the one you bought already counts to the squad size (even if it shows 31 in the Squad List menu). Bam!, you reached the limit and can't buy anyone else.

Well in the past few matches I've had Morata injured for 5 weeks, and Salazar for 13.... so now I've only got 3 fit forwards.

I really got into ML this year. I started about a month ago and Im already half way through my third season. Trying to keep my squad tight and transfers realistic, but the game itself seems to be easier than I remember for Pes 2015. I play with Inter and first year there was no throphes. Second season I won the league and Champions League so I was a bit surprised, looking at my team. So I changed difficulty to Superstar, and I dont see much changes in gameplay. How tough my opponent is seems to be determined by team spirit more than players rating.
As for the crazy transfer I understand the temptation. Last year I went little crazy myself with Psg buying pretty much everyone I could, and in Pes 2016 there is so much money in the budget, players are cheap too. I guess you can keep it realistic for few season and then it gets boring and you sign to make it more fun. I see many of you signs regens, I never done it myself because it seemed ridiculous, but Im thinking it may not be a bad idea, plus enable legends in the game it could be interesting.
Anyway here is my squad, I already bought Gaya this winter, dont really need him, Telles was more than enough for the bench. Next year I will propably add Depay and Stendera to this team.
