First game after an international break.....

I've noticed a while ago Iniesta retired in my game. Valerón has been used as a deep lying AMF (also known as CMF) so far. I really like Iniesta. There might be a change on the cards.

And the speed drop that happens with At Peak Level players is starting to piss me off.

Also Ali, since I sold Flávio Ferreira (lvl 3 General) the overall form (read arrows) of my players has dropped immensely. That might help you.

:hmm:

My form arrows aren't normally that bad though. Always seems to be worse after an international week, a nice additional "fuck you" from Konami.

I see many of you signs regens, I never done it myself because it seemed ridiculous, but Im thinking it may not be a bad idea, plus enable legends in the game it could be interesting.

Yes you're right, it is ridiculous, but its Konami...plus after 8/9 seasons when all the current stars retire you would be left with a load of no-name kids with fake names. Once you get past the whole 'regen' thing and just treat them like normal players it gets very fun! :D

Anyway here is my squad, I already bought Gaya this winter, dont really need him, Telles was more than enough for the bench. Next year I will propably add Depay and Stendera to this team.

Nice team, especially at the back, I like the look of that defence. I would play Gaya over Santon personally because he's still developing and is about to get very good for you with more playing time.

Boasted to soon lost Alcacer for 12 weeks (broken leg) gone till nearly the end of the season .League and Europa top scorer now left with junior strikers with 1/2 the success rate, two 0-0 draws and a 1-0 win so far was cruising before 17 wins & 2 draws

"well played AI well played"

Gaya is also very good at passing, I recently put him in the middfield, and train him phisicaly, maybe over time he will grow for the next Medel which is one of my favorite players in this team. Ofcourse on the wing Gaya will give me the pace to quick counter attacks, him and Memphis on the left is pure speed, Perisic is getting a bit rusty.
Another thing I like about this game is that players dont always play as you would expect from their stats. For example: Andrade is only 72 rated but he can dribble away as he was Neymar, and gets many assists. Oulare is struggling to find the target but when he does he scores real beauties. 22 years old and already body balance 99, little more shooting training and he will be a beast. Ntcham is pretty much as good as Messi as far as dribbling goes.
I thought I had a good defence too, but on my CL quarterfinal I lost at home to Bayern 5-4. Courtuis was on purple so he is worth less than random goalkeeper. Good thing Icardi was red and managed to score a hat trick.:D
Form and team spirit pretty much another useless tool to mess up the game.

Edit: after rematch with Bayern.

Didnt excpect that. For some reason AI "thought" its a good idea to spam long balls for some 60-something noname winger. Even short Gaya had no problems with stoping him.

Or, when that happens during a regular week, the purple arrow players are the ones with full stamina. Either you play someone who's feeling shitty, or someone who can't play the full game.

Classic. To circumvent this you should get one player that can play in all your attacking positions, same for the midfield, and another for defence. I have Danny who can play AMF, both wings and CF. Only plays when injuries hit, already played some 15 games this season (I'm in May).

Yeah, but somehow Konami thought he was useless when crossing (???) and gave him 88 Short Passing and some low 70s in Crossing and Swerve.

I've mentioned this multiple times. It's like you have a bond with that player and they just understand you.

I'll have to do some scouting for a utility fwd is it better to get a veteran or Developing player and what's Danny's conversion rate

This is what Gaya can become for you...a pic from my 1st ML save

How Iniesta doesn't have Weighted Pass but there are 43 players under 70 OVR that do have that skill baffles me.

Nice, he must have been about 90 rated.
So if I play him more, he developes more, or does it work only if he's "improving drastically"? For now I use Santon, because he is a bit older and I trust him, also already increased to 86 and I might get something out of him too.
It's great this year to look at these young talents to develop and start to play like real stars.

The more (and better) you use a player the more he will improve, and increase the chances of that "drastic improvement". The latter is just a faster than average rate of development, but they still develop when on regular form.

Are you talking about regen Iniesta? I just signed him up as a regen last night but haven't had a chance to look at his stats in detail yet. I assume all his other passing stats are quality?

Playing Styles and Skills don't change from the regular players to their rebirths.

Yes but his stats will be a lot lower than he was at his peak for Barca at the start of the game, so you can rebuild them up again and in most regens case surpass the originals.

So I sold Eto in the 2016 summer, after my first season and I needed a key striker who was cheap and made the cut. I went after Origi and I got him for 4 million €. Now, April 2017, not even one season later, his overall went from 77 to 84!

His speed was 85, it's now 90. Currently the top striker in the league with 24 goals, with 7 more in Champions League and 3 in the Portuguese Cup. And he is always in red arrow and even when he isn't he can run 90 minutes without feeling tired.

How amazing is this dude?

Talk about a bargain :p

That's some great progress he's made. Well done! Great signing.

I have signed Origi since PES 2013 (he was in Lille back then) and every year he confirms being the same beastly signing. Really, this guy has not just the speed, he has the ball control and reception of a world class player.

Just got knocked out of the champions league in the knockout round for the third season in a row. Can't help but feel a complete sense of rip off.

Computer scores in extra time and goes through on away goal rule.

My defenders all become totally useless and unresponsive as computer just glides through them, gets a one on one with my goalie and scores with ease.

What tactics do you use and who are your defenders? I have a kinda "weak" team and I just got easily to the final of UCL, after beating PSV in the semis (Juve on my way).
