Ultras or the Death Moves?
Ultras all the way. Also remember their was a way to comeback to life? I'm sure my brother pulled it off a good dozen times.

Also can you recall how class Jago was? The twiching combos were it looked as if the game was crashing, but it was just the motion of his moves. Like when he used his sword.

Ultras to the max, their were harder to do and looked so much more stylish. And you can comeback to life when you're on "Danger danger" if you hit all the buttons really fast to come out of the daze.

Yeah, hitting all the buttons extremely quick can juice you up again, but you won't have much of life to fight.

Sorry Leon. I mean ''unarguably'' .

Killer Instict is a great game but in my eyes it just falls short on being a classic even though its graphics spawned off other great titles. I just feel that it isn't a game that would keep making me play again and again.
And for you to even mention that it could be the best game ever is laughable.

The reason people aren't playing it anymore is the same reason why we made the Dreamcast thread.

Remember Metal Gear Solid 1? Rated the best game ever? Does anyone play it now? Hardly.

You don't judge a classic game by lifespan as in the gaming industry next generation consoles overshadow legacies, like one left by Killer Instinct.

I can't even name a fighting game now, that is better than it. Or had the same magnitude at it's release. And please bare in mind that the game is a decade old. At the time it was around it was breathtaking.

KI is an awesome game when you play it with your friends. Playing it alone makes the game no fun since the AI isn't very tactical as real life opponent.

Remember Streetfighter 2 turbo I recall them making a remake for the PS2, and by this I mean that there are people who play old games because they are classics. If Killer Instinct was remade I wonder how many people would buy it.

And I know that classics aren't just based on the lifespan its just that Classics such as, lets say MGS1 would always be played again and again as long as you have the right console for it. Where as I've never played killer Instinct since its release.

Hell, I would buy it. Its a fun game to play when your boys and you get together. Any re-make of a classic game or decent game will be awesome. Mario had a bunch of remakes for the GBA. People could have just played the SNES versions but they still bought them with no hesitation.

And about the Street Fighter re-make, I bought it for the PS2 and couldn't be happier.

Neither have I. As it being affiliated with the inferior Nintendo hasn't helped it as a franchise.
I can assure you if it was to be re-released on a next-gen console ala PS3, with the same makers. It would destroy all competition.

Though my opinion is biased like yours. The Street Figher series? Pffft. They haven't been able to innovate, sort of like the FIFA of fighting games. Tekken is becoming like that too.

Did you call Nintendo inferior?

Well, they are going a bit down hill, but I stll can't see why the majority of people choose playstations over Nintendo consoles.

Playstation has more games. The likes of ''Super Mario'' are now looked upon as for children gamers.

Agreed that Super Mario maybe childish, but what about the likes of Metroid and Zelda? And I believe that it's quality, not quantity, 14 of my 20 games for the GameCube are GameCube exclusive. Maybe I'm just a Nintendo gamer.

I found Super Mario Sunshine quite a tough game, certainly with the last stars.
Metroid is fantastic, Zelda is always great.
RE4 was supposed to be GC only; its all about the money.

I agree Super Mario Sunshine was a tough game, but the theme of a fat italian plumber having to save the Princess from an evil monster probably just doesn't work anymore. Metroid and Zelda absolutely fantastic. But what gets me is I hear people say "Can't wait for RE 4 on Playstation" and I point out that it's out on GC now and for some reaason they try to argue that the Playstation version is better.

...without even having seen both versions. Its really annoying.
You gotta give Nintendo credit for being so inventive. Seldom an easy sequel, always new gameplay elements that never have been done before.

Donkey Konga, Nintendo DS,Pikmin; And thats just recent things.
Surely Playstation has great games, its jus their fans. They are biased to the bone.

Couldn't agree more.
