Well, they are going a bit down hill, but I stll can't see why the majority of people choose playstations over Nintendo consoles.

Downhill?
In Japan Nintendo is the best followed by Sony and Microsoft.
And people in europe choose the ps2 over the gamecube because of the ps2's balance in games, where as nintendo seem to go for colourful innovation.

I'm not a follower of Sony or Microsoft, but what does the PS2 offer that the XBox doesn't?

At least the analog is in the right place on XBox pads.
