What you do during the torture scene is take a rounded BIC pen (doesn't have to be a BIC but it does have to be round) and when you have to press the X button repeatedly you take the pen and rub it back and forth over the button so it acts as if you're pushing it. In doing that I've never dropped below the halfway line on the life bar.

Been playing Metal Gear Solid 2 over the past couple of days, and realised again how frustrating the swimming part is when you have to save Emma Emmerich. She can only hold her breath for about 10 seconds, the silly bitch. I didn't help matters by accidentally choking her a couple of times, so she only has half her life now. Oops.

I hate parts of any game where you have to help other people's lives. I'm fine taking care of my own health, but when it comes to others I crumble under pressure and leave them to die :|

I like being a lone wolf. I've being playing Rainbow six vegas recently and it's quite frustrating when my supposedly elite counterterrorist assault teammates run out like retards and keep getting themselves killed. Sometimes i just put the bullet in their heads out of frustration and to save them the embarrassment.

That was the same case for me, until I bought them from Amazon (used but in very good condition) last week. £4 for MGS2, £7 for MGS3 excluding postage.

I've been playing MGS again in the last week, and it still remains my favourite game of all time. I liked MGS2 and 3, but I hope MGS4 takes more of the elements from MGS1.

Yep, i'll be getting a PS3 almost purely for the purposes of playing MGS4. I've been very impressed with the trailers for the game - should be quality. I don't think the original MGS will ever be beaten in terms of storyline, voice acting and the main characters, however.

I think so, where it's mostly of Snake sneaking about a building with Otacon giving him tips, before going outside and helping some of the troops by taking on the tank, sniping some guards down etc?
