It's definitely a lot better for me and am playing it on a standard telly, the online LAG is still there in some games but it has definitely improved!

How do u play it off the HD? is it just installing the game from in the PES2008 options and then playing. Also, do you select the pes2008 'cd' icon from the PS3 menu to play or is this playing it off the cd?

It seems like the patch is working quite nicely for me. I installed the patched, had the game installed to the HDD and I am using HD. My camera is Broadcast 1 and I can definitely see a great improvement in the frame rate when playing offline.

I have yet to test the online game but I can safely say, after playing for more than 1 hour with the patch, it works much better. There are still some occasions where there is some stuttering of the gameplay, especially at the beginning of each match on some stadiums.

Hope they keep patching this one up since it was quite unplayable before!

much better. playing on hdtv, I can now watch replays. I havent stored the game on my hdd. Online theres still lag but it has slightly improved.
dunno if its just me but the graphics look worse????
