God, this game on superstar really needs to cheat, most notably with the big teams. It makes them so much faster running and their strength is way too high. Its like your players are little children sometimes tryin tackle them if your not in
front of them. You can see your tackle being made, but your players are too weak to get to the ball and your shrugged off. How is it fair if alot of the time your players are just so weak, they're not strong enough with the tackle to win the ball?! How would you actually win the ball then and stop their attack?!

I've had to drop the defensive line to 0 against the likes of united, liverpool, city and madrid, so their players can't run by me like bullets. When they're gone, they can't be caught. I've been able to beat and control the rest with the deep line, but madrid completely take the biscuit. Way too overpowered in speed and strength. It's a shame that they can only introduce higher difficulty by having to cheat.

Final part of rant which I've mentioned before, having to press the button twice for tackle can be so shit sometimes when the AI starts to go nuts on superstar. The lag from the delay of having to press it twice means you can mistime a tackle easily, as that extra split second to pull it off means the AI can move and do from where they were when you wanted to make the tackle. The AI can respond instantly, yet I can't pull off the tackle instantly. Whoevers big idea it was to pull it off that way needs his head rung. Get rid of pressurise, as its shit, or at least give me the option to turn it off so I can just press the button once to make the tackle. Therefore, tackle EXACTLY the split second I want to, which is what you need to take some of the opportunities to tackle. Does anybody else not think its flawed? I've lost many goals because of this dreadful design flaw.

When the game first came out, did the CPU team used to pass it between their defenders for 10mins? I don't ever remember it being as bad as it is now. It's just so infuriating, when they reach the final third, and still manage to find a way back to their defenders.

Final third of the game series, match time or pitch?

Playing in Top Player the only team I've encountered that does similar stuff (but to a much lesser extent) is Arsenal, but they only keep it there for a few touches if I don't pressure. If I go chase the ball they'll pass it around like pros and I never get to it, but if I give them space they come forward quite easily and then it becomes a proper game.

There's some things that I can't understand regarding this. Middlesbrough is the most amazing team I've played against. They pressured like mad, never game me space, and played a beautifuly first-touch game that created them far more chances than usual. The only team that gets as many chances is Chelsea (sometimes), purely due to their players being superhuman, not because the colective AI is good, and Arsenal, but the latter defend very, very badly.

Oh, and Middlesbrough wingers cross the ball pretty much all the time, whereas Man United wingers (mostly them) never fucking cross. They find ways to have four, yes four, players aroud the corner, massing between them until one manages to go through and runs parallel to the goal line.

Just had the most BULLSHIT match of PES I've ever had. To say I'm fuming would be an understatement. The CPU went 2 up with 2 utterly bullshit goals. 1 where my defender just kept bouncing off the attacker, and a deflection. I then get a player sent off for a challenge that was only worthy of a yellow. I pull one back, they score straight after. I pull another back, they score straight after. I pull one more back, they score straight after (seeing a pattern here? And people argue that the game isn't scripted!). I then enter rage mode, get 3 more players sent off, and lose 7-3. Every.... single.... goal.... was utter crap. Defenders moving out of the way to let strikers score. Bullshit rebounds. Players bouncing off opposition strikers as if they were made of brick. And I'm not having anyone coming on and saying "oooh, learn to defend better. every goal is preventable". You weren't there, man! You weren't there!
Fair to say that is my last ever match of this particular ML... perhaps my final ML match ever, and I may need to take an extended break from this stupid fucking game.

I should also mention that I almost smashed the shit out of my controller, until I remembered how expensive they are!

How is that even theoretically possible? PES 2013 is the worst football game I have ever played. It makes you nostalgic for stuff like Fifa 99. Scripting aside, it doesn't even look like a football game. Players crossing from the touch line with a single movement, for example. :laugh: It's like Konami hired a whole new crew to develop the game and they f-ed up big time. They took all the fun out of it and made it annoyng, robotic, a complete mess overall.

What a sad decline. I guess PES will no longer exist in a few years. It becomes less and less relevant, fans are tired of bashing their pads/TVs/monitors and are simply moving on.
