The PS3 On Play

I'm sure the price will go down by the time it comes out. If not, then Xbox360 has to be the one I get.
EDIT: Hang on. I just noticed the joypad in Jonny's original link. I though it was gonna be the one in the below picture.
Does this mean it's a hoax, or they scrapped the idea of a new pad?

Fucking hell. £50 for a game?
Thats way too expensive. I would get an X360 but the PS3 will have better and more 'exclusive' games. The only games for the 360 that interest me are Project Gotham Racing and Halo. MGS, UT2007, GT, Tekken, DMC are all games that I would defintely want, and those are only avalible on the PS3.. I also find that its easier to play football games on the Playstation due to the controller.
I'm probably going to wait until the price drops for the PS3.

Its a good way of extorting money out of the punter so as to get them to buy new PS3 pads rather than using their old PS2 dual-shocks. Its the same story with the multi-taps (you couldn't use a PS1 multi-tap on the PS2).

It's ridiculous that Sony can charge so much for a fucking games console. I hope these crazy prices for consoles and games will fall significantly and swiftly.
I hope the wireless versions of the classic design controllers are for real, as they're the best pads ever made. A true design masterpiece in their own right.

The price in Britain is around £425, thats for the PS3 with a 60gb harddrive, wifi, card reader and HDMI, they'll release a cheaper version at a later date without all the whistles and bells. The PS3 will have Linux installed onto the harddrive and will play high definition movies, it's expensive but it's the modern world and theres a lot of people with a lot of money and a high definition TV with nothing to play on it.
So for £125 more then a launch PS2, you get a PS3 with BluRay, wifi, wireless and motion controlled pad, Linux OS, 60gb harddrive, web browser and a machine that will play Metal Gear Solid 4, that game has to be seen to be believed.
