The "what games have you just bought" thread

Seeing as Barn wouldn't let me post these in the DVD thread and the materialsim thread is full of everything from hipster T-shirts to dildo's I decided that we NEED a shit thread like this to share our gaming purchases. Plus it might be a good place to share sales info and bundles if you've bought them that others might not know about?

I've just bought the following:

Bit Trip Presents....Runner 2 (PS Vita) £5.49

Broken Sword 5 - Episode 1 (PS Vita) £7.99

Bought Call Of Duty Ghosts to play over my Xmas break from when I'm not revising.

Was £30 quid from Tesco. Maps seem too big and its sometimes made shite by people using snipers and killing you from one end of the map to another.

I bought rain from the PSN sale for £4.94 which comes with a cool little rain Christmas theme for the PS3. Unfortunately I can't find an image for it anywhere online to show you guys.

I also bought Journey Collector's Edition from Amazon which should have hopefully arrived today.

Rain is by the guys who did Ico right?

Flower alone justifies that pruchase imo, though if you bought it digitally it's cross play on PS3, Vita and PS4. Hoping for a Journey Vita/PS4 port at some point.

This was the last game I bought

£6.77

www.isthereanydeal.com <-- GOAT site for PC games.

What a bargain too - this game has 70-80 hours of content on the first playthrough alone.

SCE Japan Studio had a hand in both games but rain was developed with Playstation C.A.M.P. and Acquire rather than Team Ico who are probably busy with The Last Guardian at the moment. However, from the little I've played of Ico I can see a lot of similarities between the two games.

I might wait for Rain to be one of the free PS+ games... it will eventually.

How much was this? I got Flow for free, Flower was £3.99 and Journey was part of a double pack with The Unfinished Swan for a tenner (I think).

Overall you're probably going to only about 6 hours from them collectively, but the experience of the last two are definitely worth it.

Journey won't be free anytime soon imo, it's gonna get a PS4 port instead so they won't want to be giving it away.

All brand new and sealed and got them all for around 15 bucks total, not bad for games that are over a decade old.

Yeah, I bought Call of Duty Ghosts from Tesco last Saturday since it was just £30.

I didn't have high expectations for it as I predicted that it would feel and look exactly the same as previous CoD titles... and it does. However with the maps being a lot larger, it changes the dynamic of 'how' you play the game. I always really loved the large maps from when I first started playing CoD regularly, which was the first Modern Warfare. Since around that time, all of the later games have included small maps - so small to the point where it would be a complete waste of time even thinking about using a sniper rifle.

I always enjoy the survival aspect of playing online. So instead of running everywhere, I much prefer staying hidden and being a ghost. The thought of outsmarting the opponent, and essentially picking them off is really rewarding for me. I've only played CoD Ghosts for a couple of hours but I'm really enjoying it thus far. Maybe due to my originally low expectations, it's delivered a pleasant surprise.

CHU CHU rocket is great. One on my most played DC games. What other DC games have you got?

I have around 30 or so. Did I mention that its probably my favorite system ever?

I have a lot of fighters - Third Strike, Double Impact, MVC2, Last Blade 2, Alpha 3, DOA2, Powers Stone, Capcom vs SNk 1&2

For the rpg's - Both Shenmues, Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia

I also have D2, Under Defeat, Dynamite Cop, Sonic Adventure, few sports titles, Sega GT, Jet Grind Radio, Virtual On, Jedi Power Battles and a few more that I cant remember.

StringerBell good man, the DC is definitely one of my favourites, Shenmue I and II as well as Skies of Arcadia are up there as some of my favoruite games ever. I do hope you have Soul Calibur, Metropolis Street Racer and the Crazy Taxi games.

There's something strangely interesting about it. I only play it for about 20 minutes at a time; just a single mission each sitting.
