Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story - Funny, but i expected more. Didn't like the ending.

Equilibrium -I've always thought the opening scene didn't do it justice, but it's truly a great film.

Haha, Dodgeball is far superior to Equilibrium, which is merely an enjoyable Matrix rip-off

Well it's not because of that, and I haven't seen Farenheit 451. So I still say it is a Matrix ripoff

It's Supposed to Bubble

Great film, one of my favorites.

Rush Hour 3 - I'm a sucker for buddy cop movies and Chris Tucker, so I'm not going to lie, I liked it.

It's more of a Matrix meets 1984, sort of thing, though i don't see what a society that has suppressed feelings has to do with machines controlling the planet.

And if you're referring to the fights, i think the Gun Kata is a completely original and cool concept.

More just people being opressed in general, doesn't have to be too specific. Heh, gun kata was the low budget equivalent of the Matrix gun fights. It's just a tad too silly i.e. at the start when they can't hit a static guy in the middle of the bloody room. Don't get me wrong I still liked the film though. The end was good too.

Child's Play. Classic horror ftw. Good film.

Hero. Despite the reputation, I enjoyed the adverts more. I should've watched Match of the Day.

Paradise Now.

Good film. Very powerful as well. I enjoyed it very much as it did not try to convince the viewer that terrorist bombings were acceptable or anything of that nature, it simply sought to provide the audience with the Palestinian perspective of the situation. If you do not mind subtitles, check it out.

It recounts the story of two very good friends and their struggle to decide whether or not to go through with a suicide bombing they have been selected to participate in.

For anyone worried about disgusting explosions with bodies flopping here and there... No worries. There is no graphic gore to be seen.

Zodiac - Superb. Must see.

Did you have any background of the story before seeing this? I've read up about Zodiac in the past and now recently and people say the film is pretty good. I may have to have a look at it. The only bit that annoys some people is they used Graysmith instead of Penn but I guess they did this because Penn was a bit of a crank and thinks he was even accused of being Zodiac. I do Love a bit of true crime.

Iron Man.

Pretty good but not enough of the actual Iron Man or the action bits. Downey Jr was quality though.

Layer Cake.

Not too bad but Craig tried to spoil it.
Spoiler:
I was glad when he died

The Wanderers.

It was a pretty decent film and had a great soundtrack. I however prefer the Warriors overall and if these two ever met I believe that the Warriors would win hands down.

Get Carter. For the most part, a run of the mill gangster film from its era, but the ending I feel was very good. Decent enough I suppose.

I love it. Probably due to the fact I can recognise the areas in it though and the contrast in how everything has changed. Apart from shitty old Gateshead like where that car park still lingers.

Also once nobbed a lass where the ending is filmed at Blackhall Rocks!

Sonatine - A different sort of gangster film which seemed to focus away from the violence for the most part. The part with the holes on the beach was class. :D

The Goonies - An enjoyable adventure film, but I'd probably have liked it more if I'd seen it when I was younger. Still thought it was very good though.

Death Sentence - Enjoyed it more than I expected to. The plot wasn't exactly complex, with the outcome being pretty obvious from early on, but nevertheless it was worth watching.

Last Action Hero - Daft. "You wanna be a farmer? Here's a couple of acres!"

I didn't know much about it before, apart from hearing stuff about the film, but it made me look some stuff up afterwards.

If you do sit down to watch it, don't think you expect to see a lot of action sequences as it's more of a thoughtful film. Also make sure you don't have anything planned for the next 3 hours.
