Things you could add to PES

I think FIFA is complete rubbish, the Last one I had was FIFA 98 which because I was only about 10 seened ok but my cousin had ISS Pro 98 which was miles better and i've bought that ever since. I have played FIFA abot 10 times since and it's complete dross.

The only good thing about FIFA is that you can do keepy-ups, they should add this into PES as it would be good to take the piss out of your mates by doing it when your a few goals up.

Also I remember in one of the old PES games when the ball bounced in front of you you could flick it over your head and turn, sometimes a few times in a row and then volley it. You can't do it any more.

I also think you should be able to have more options with throw-ins, like being able to take a run and throw it or hold in L2 for example and move you players on the pitch into a position. As when your doing a lng throw you can see it coming and position your guys or your mates can against you but if you could just hold in the run button and throw it you could make it more discreet and catch people out as they wont know if your going to throw it or take a run and go for a long one.

The keepy-ups should be nowhere PES imo. How many times have you seen in a game of football someone start doing kick ups in the game, without the need? Only tossers do it. They do it to wind the other team up and it would certainly wind me up if people could do it on PES.

Firstly was there any need to start off dissing fifa?

Things to be added to PES?

nothing before they have fixed the gameplay as close to perfection as possible. They should frankly be concentrating on that before adding anything, particularly something as insignificant as kicky ups!

Yes, porn and naked girls Lfc-fan-club, we get it.

Things to add, well, like ]Nike[ says gameplay, then everything else.

Other than that some licenses, new leages, teams and new stadiums would be nice. Improved menus (Which by the looks we get in 2009) and even more in depth manager mode-ish ML would be nice, altough not everyone agrees with me on that point.

I agree on the more in-depth manager mode.Transfers should be more negotiable with the contracs etc.and cash should be used, sick of not knowing if ive over payed for a player lol. Tactics should be slightly more in depth but then again this might be a bit much as it aint a manager game, but the ml needs a bit of tweeking.

Licenses, more real ML, bigger edit mode (I know it will be good, but it''s not bad to continue expanding the edit mode) and a stadium editor.

i wouldnt mind having more un-licensed leagues + a real good edit mode (LOTS of space for emblems, logos, etc) if it would mean a better master league. Also the ability to create your own leagues...For example. In the past we had Other Leagues C because konami failed to get the bundesliga rights..well if you create your own leagues you can start editing teams 20 or 18 from scratch which would allow Option File makers to.. have more teams :p....just a thought...

I wish they would use real money in ML and also id like there to be an Arena like FIFA which is theo nly thing i like from the Fifa09 demo. think that was pretty cool.

Also Licences and better stats for players for example how the hell is owen fasted than Walcott!!

i think they should add that a 3rd player that can make the refereing(sorry if misspelt) decisions so there not bored when watching there over two mates play it could be a lot of fun providing there fair lol

Have been thinking the same thing, but I think PES' "credit" might be quite close to the british poundx100. Top bid is 60 000, I'm guessing this something around 600million.

I think this makes sense when you look at how much players cost. Take for instance F. Torres who I had to pay 28 000 for with an S popularity club. This would be the equivalent of about 280million, which isn't too unrealistic.

280 Million is abit steep to be buying Torres then again i did buy Kaka C Ronaldo Ramos for 60 000 = 600Million now that is steep.

U sure u didnt me 28 000 = 28Million?? that seems about right.

Yeh i think 28 million seems a bit closer to the mark, just slightly off topic i could never get ramos.

But i do think that it should be real money instead of credits, just to add more realism

I'll probably get a bit of stick for this, but from what I've saw so far, FIFA 09 is the way forward this year.

I've played the demo and imo it's quality...so much they've added, simple things like animations etc.

I've also saw gameplay of PES 2009 and it looks almost identical to PES 2008 which is just disappointing I'd say. I don't really wanna judge the game from a video or two I've seen but I don't really see where the future of PES is going.

I'll end up buying both games for sure, but I can honestly see myself swaying towards FIFA 09 more often this season.

Add visual things like players warming up on the sidelines. Maybe that could have a knock on effect to players on the pitch uping there game as they may get subbed!!! I know it would prob be hard to do, but I think it would look the nuts!!!

Would be a nice touch yeah, as you make substitutes players will have to warm up for say 2-5 in game minutes before coming on to the pitch.

ye and you pick at the start of the match who to have warming up on the side cos they do warm up before they are asked to be subbed, and the longer they warm up the less chance of getting injured in match

I was just looking through the games section in my room and came across Uefa striker for the ps1 I think.

Anyways in the manual it explains that R2 can be used to "bring down the ball in the air".

I've mentioned this to other posters, why can't konami do something similar for PES?

I mean, when the ball is crossed diagonally to the right/left midfielder from one side of the field to the other, there is no way of jumping to reach for a ball thats coming in at shoulder height with your feet? Also, take for example the control Rooney executed to set-up Walcott's 3rd goal for England, i.e. lifting his right leg so that his toe stuck up at almost head height from a standing position, to bring the ball down towards his right was amazing...

I think konami could do well to add a variety of trapping animations because that ultiamtely seperates the great players from the average one's, and also add the R2 feature to trap high lobbed balls...

thoughts?
