"Tight Possession" IS THE PROBLEM

Since I have been raging about an AI Controlled 70 Rated Striker being over powered and being able to hold off two of my Centre Backs with ease and managing to control the ball followed by an accurate pass to a team mate, I thought to myself, what is this? Why is this happening?

The other issue is the stupid "Bump Fouls" where you don't even push X or O near the AI opposition and they merely stumble resulting in you giving away a foul.

So, I decided to do some testing. The new ability... "Tight Possession"... I thought, I'd reduce every one of Arsenal's outfield players "Tight Possession" down to 40 and see what happens when I play a game against them... WOW!

Basically this new ability is flawed. It is causing so many issues that I didn't realise.

I am now able to create space with my players.

YOU CAN ACTUALLY TACKLE THE AI PLAYERS WITHOUT THE REF BLOWING HIS WHISTLE.

The AI Players have realistic holding-off abilities, meaning a 6ft3 Defender will easily dispossess a 70 Rated, 5ft10 AI Player.

This may be a coincidence, but my own fast paced forwards no longer stumble when lightly challenged by an AI Defender.

“Tight Possession” does seem to be a big problem. It’s a new stat and I don’t think Konami really have a handle on it. I generally play Top player - Superstar but find it difficult to find which one is best for me. Now again as with PES 2019 playing on Superstar is beginning to feel almost unplayable, where actions feel predetermined and AI defenders fat far to strong. I tried what was suggested here and couldn’t believe the difference! I changed the stats for Atalanta and Inter and played a few friendlies on Superstar. Now I don’t mind getting beaten by the AI if I feel like the game is playing well and they genuinely play better than me. In I think 3 friendlies Inter beat me twice and drew with me once. In the first game Lukaku destroyed me completely scoring a hat trick, but even more interestingly than that he also missed some chances he really should have put away the AI makes mistakes without this stat! And it’s not just in attack. They are still difficult to play against but they give the ball away as well, it felt more human. At the same time they seem to attack differently, they are more expansive and expressive in their play. As well as their play the ball physics feel better, everything feels so much less predetermined and there is an element of luck which makes games exciting. One of Lukaku’s goals was quite heavily deflected and wouldn’t have gone in if the ball didn’t spin away from the keeper as it did. A goal I scored the keeper got something on it as he came rushing out but it just bobbled in under him. For me the easy fix is for Konami to remove this stat as far as I can tell it’s the problem or a least a big part of it. If not I’ll guess I’ll spend forever reducing everyone down to 40!

I have "Fixed" the Premier League and am half way through the Championship!
Anyone else want to get involved, all they have to do is reduce a League's worth of players' "Tight Possession" down to 40 and export the files. If you can, add a link to this thread so we can all download the teams.

I'll add my own links here later today / tomorrow.

Here's a taster... Arsenal Team.ted with reduced to 40 "Tight Possession". Download the .ted file, update the players and play AGAINST THEM. (Make sure you export YOUR Arsenal first in case you want to revert back to it!)

If you don’t mind I’ll Play a bit with your Premiership/Championship improvement, if I’m still happy with how it’s playing I’m happy to do Serie A if I can, may take a bit of time. Do you know if it is still the same in a League/Master League setting as Exhibition?
