Tips Of What Not To Do In Master League

I managed to make a HUGE error in my first season in Master League (PS3 - Top Player)
I ended up having virtually no money after all the salaries were deducted at the start of the season and so thought i'd have a big clear-out during the mid-season transfer window to get some extra money in.
I was selling players left, right and centre and brought in a few "better" ones.
However when i went to work on my new first team line-up when the window closed, i noticed i had made one horrendous mistake.... i had sold 3 of my 4 goalkeepers. But, then i thought, goalkeepers never get injured in a match, so i'll be fine and fatigue doesn't effect non-international players on this game.
Then disaster struck.... with 9 games left of the season i get a message saying my goalkeeper was injured and will be out for 3 weeks. Then i thought back to previous Pro Evo's and remember sticking Cristiano Ronaldo in goal and he was saving shots left, right and centre. i didn't have Ronaldo though, so i stuck with trusty old defender Iouga.
5 minutes into his first game in goal.... Iouga bends down to collect a tame shot, the ball bounces of his chest and rolls into the path of the opposition striker.... we went 1-0 down.
It wasn't long before i discovered outfielder players (or maybe just Iouga as i stuck with him) cannot save a ball for toffee. Every shot on target ended up going in and i lost the game 5-0. I have yet to play the last 2 games without my proper keeper.
Not that i think anyone else would be stupid to make this same mistake, but my tip of what not to do, is don't leave yourself without any spare goalkeepers!

one thing you could do is, before you start a ML, go into edit and edit some of the outfield players to make them semi decent in goal. remember there have been a few we've seen in the past, rio ferdinand was alright when he had to go in for united a couple of years ago, rooney's meant to be quite good in goal too.

yeah, tis good that injuries seem abit more realistic. in all the previous PES games' ML modes, i'd go 2 or 3 full seasons with no injuries atall

thats cheating, if your gonna do that might aswell just make every player in your team an overall 99, wot ya need to do is make sure ya keep at least 1 sub gk even if u dont av em on bench. thats the point OP is tryin to make.

Dont play your full 11 all the time. Play like 7-8 of them and then when they become unfit you'll still have 3-4 big guns you can use in your second string.

All you have to do is keep an eye on the stats of your players. Playing them out of their "comfort" position will dramatically reduce their stats.

i had the same problem with my ML-team, I accidentaly sold my 3rd GK in the Winter Transfer window, and 3 weeks before the end of the competition (1st place, only 1 point in front of the runner-up) both my goalkeepers got an injury, fortunately I missed my 1st GK for only 1 game and one of my defenders was in the goal that game, the only thing he had to do was 1 goal kick that game because my opponent wasn't that good.

but I am sure I will buy another GK this Summer Transfer Window!
