All you have to do is keep an eye on the stats of your players. Playing them out of their "comfort" position will dramatically reduce their stats.

i always wanted to ask but would playin them out of position acutally affect their performance? or is it just stat-wise?

Well i played a world cup last night as Uruguay. Registrered Diogo to their squad. Used him as a CB even though he can't play it. He got fine ratings, and didn't get bad form etc..

In ML: I don't play them out of position. But are we sure that their stats will reduce if doing so?
I know that their overall (the number next to them) reduces when i place a cmf as dmf if he can't play it, but does this make his stats reduce if i use him like this for months?

Thank you for reading.
Don't set out at the beginning of the season thinking you'll concentrate on a certain cup. You'll end up being knocked out and with nothing to show for your year.

Don't bench the younger players from the beginning. Give them as much time as possible. Have a player 24 years now, and he was 18 when i started. Even though he's fine he could have been even better if i'd not doubted his potential..

Talking about goalies, when I downloaded the PES demo a few days back I noticed that when I was playing against Germany they still have Enke as a starting player.. May God rest his soul..

To continue on injuries:
I've noticed that as soon as strikers become tired and get a red stamina bar their shots are totally off! I mean, even if they're tired, when pressing X or square if you will, even for a short while when simply dribbling (not running) it's not that much to ask from a player such as, say for instance, Drogba or Anelka to at least hit the target, but the ball just goes straight over every time.. Is that normal or am I just doing something wrong? Because I don't feel like changing strikers for someone with a rating below 70 just when they're tired... Back to the injuries, of course they get injured easier when tired, but I don't expect to sub my strikers every match, especially not when I'm behind or looking for the winning goal...
So what is there not to do in this category?

Actually, you should trust the player with the better form (Red arrow, etc.). Read in the manual that a Red Arrow improves performance by 12% on all stats so even if he's only 70+ in that position compared to your regulars, you should take a chance and play him to rest your big guns and conserve them for the big games. ;)
